Sorry for starting a new topic on this. We're going to DC the last weekend of September, and since the Nationals are out of town, we're planning a trip to Baltimore to see an O's game. The only time we can go is Saturday night. We aren't renting a car, so we'll have to rely on public transportation. Are there reliable options for going from DC to Baltimore (and back late at night)? Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

I believe to get to a Baltimore game from DC via public transit, you are looking at Metro to Union Station (or cab) and the transferring to MARC rail.

From Washington, D.C.

Oriole Park can be reached via the Camden Line of MTA's MARC commuter rail, which operates between Union Station in Washington and Camden Station in Baltimore. (Camden Station is at Camden Yards.) Union Station can be reached from other points in the Washington Area via Washington's Metro System. Union Station is a stop on the Metrorail Red Line. Metrorail also connects with MARC's Camden Line at Greenbelt Station, on the Green Line.

NOTE: only regularly scheduled weekday MARC service is available. No special baseball service is provided. MARC operates Monday through Friday, and the last southbound train leaves Camden Station at 6:25 p.m. For evening games, MTA offers return bus service to Savage, Maryland, Greenbelt, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. For weekend and holiday games, MTA operates round trip bus service from the Greenbelt MARC/Metrorail Station. More information is available during baseball season at MTA's web site, www.mtamaryland.com.
