Day 7, August 10
We were up and out early this morning, sore feet and all. We were very excited to wear our new crocs! Off to Epcot for EMH morning. We FP Soarin and rode it. We then went over to TT, Anthony went to FP Mission Space while I went to Mousegears for some shopping. We met up and decided to head back to the land pavillion. We thought we would give The Circle of Life show a chance since we have never seen it. If you havent done it, dont waste your time. It was a short film and not worth a wait at all. We headed over to The land and then went on Soarin again. I just love that ride! So much fun and so relaxing! We walked over to the World Showcase and saw Donald (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008519-1.jpg) in Mexico! Anthony was ready for lunch so we went to the Lotus Blossom Cafe. He order honey chicken and I went for a beef noodle bowl. He was impressed, I wasnt! And so it goes! After China we were on the character lookout. We were able to get Alice (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008533-1.jpg) and Mary Poppins (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008532-1.jpg)in the UK. They had a funny exchange, at one point Mary Poppins said to Alice, "do you hear that music, where is it coming from?" Alice replied, "the flowers". It was very cute. Prior to meeting them we had met up with the candy maker in Japan. I was so excited to see here that we waited for her to begin. I was chosen to pick a candy and I chose a blue monkey (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008530-1.jpg)! I was super excited. Anthony wanted to eat him, but there was no way! In fact he is here on my desk now! I will never eat him! After meeting Alice and MP, we went over to see the American Adventure which was wonderful as always. We rode the Norway ride and got a nice picture in front of the waterfall (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008518-1.jpg). I wanted to try and do the character meet in Epcot through disney visa so we went over to Innoventions West (I believe) and were able to get some great shots. For those of you who are card members and have never done it, it is worth the wait! I think part of the excitement is not knowing who will be in the room! We were able to meet...... (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008539-1.jpg) some of our friends :secret:! After our pictures we rode Mission Space and then went back to Pop for some swimming. After cooling off it was off to the California Grill for one of our favorite meals of the trip. Our dinner was delicious. We decided to go for some appetizers and split the goat cheese ravioli (http://http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008550-1.jpg)and the pesto flatbread. (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008551-1.jpg) For dinner, I had the oak fired beef filet (http://http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008555.jpg)- delicious, and Anthony went for a sushi platter (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008554-1.jpg). Although the CA grill is supposed to be known for their sushi, which the waiter reminded us twice, Anthony said it was mediocore, adn that Wolfgang Puck's was much better. For our dessert I ordered the Val. Choc. Cake (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008561-1.jpg)with coffee icecream and Anthony opted for the blueberry crumble. (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008560-1.jpg) Both were absolutely awesome. We love the CA grill and of course will return on our next trip. I do think I should mention however, this is the only meal where we had a poor waiter with regard to manners. He was a bit rude and very full of himself. He felt the need to point out how much the tip should be and tell me twice that it isnt included on our plan. It did not ruin our meal however, we still love it there and had great food. After filling our bellies we went to the Magic Kingdom and saw Laugh Floor, Buzz (I win again!), Splash Mountain and then we watched Wishes from Fantasyland. I almost forgot to mention, when we went on Splash, which we had a FP for, a younger guy about age 15 was in front of us with his grandmother. He was telling her that the ride was like The Land and IASW with a small drop. Anyway, the picture of them is hilarous so I thought I would share (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008584.jpg)- check out the ones behind us in the photo- he is clutching onto her for dear life! We did Philarmagic, IASW, BTMRR, and went over to try to ride Space Mountain, which surprise, was broken down! We decided to call it a night and went back to the Pop century. It was well after 1 am by the time we got back! What a great day!
Thanks for reading, up next: Epcot and our Intercot mini meet!
