Hello,

I just want to say this is such a wonderful site! I can't believe I just found out about it! Would have loved to use it in the past!

I pre-booked a trip for January - will I be able to adjust it if a promotional deal comes out in the fall? Has anyone done this in the past and had any problems doing it?

Can you book a reservation on the patio for the Rose & Crown so you can view the Illuminations show?

I havent had to really pay much attention to the details of chaning reservations for promotions now that me and dbf are part of DVC! :-) But, from what I can remember you can make any type of change at any time. BUT I do remember there being a 45 day mark, I think that you have to have the trip paid for by then, so I dont really know if there are any technicalities to it. BUT I do know that alot fo people make lots of changes many times before their trip. Those people will be along shortly to answer you question more indepth than me lol... But again have fun in january, we will also be there in january, first time as DVCers lol!! woot!! And welcome to the site, I am sure you will love it like we all do, I will warn you, this site becomes very very addicting lol. You will be on here every second you get....lollll :number1:

This site has really helped me a lot in planning our trips! I think you will really like it here!

You can apply any future discounts to your reservations. A lot of people use Magical Journeys to book their trips. I used them for the first time to book our trip for next September. I think that you can transfer your reservation to them, and they will watch for any future discounts and automatically apply them to your reservation. Of course, if you prefer to do it yourself, you can watch Intercot for announcements when discounts are announced.

I believe that to apply any discount that comes up, that's hope it does we're booked for January too, you'll have to cancel and re-book. If the trip was booked through a travel agent they can apply the difference rather then cancelling and re-booking. It's one of the bonuses for booking through a travel agent. As someone alrady mentioned Magical Journeys is disney travel agency that is a Intercot sponsor, their link is first on the list of Icot sponsors on the left side of the page. Their super!!! I believe that you transfer a reservation to them if you'd like.

As for Rose and Crown I don't think you can reserve a patio seat. You can request one upon checking in. Just like no being able to reserve a window seat at California Grill, but asking and keeping you fingers crossed when you check-in.

Another vote for Magical Journeys. You can contact them and have your reservation transferred to them. Then it's out of your hands...no need to watch for the discounts yourself, they will apply as appropriate. (Melissa just saved us a few hundred!:thumbsup:)
For the Rose and Crown, you can make an ADR, but no guarantees that you will be out on the patio for viewing Illuminations. From what I understand, they do have a private patio for their guests and will escort you out there during dinner for better viewing. I've never done that though, so maybe someone else can provide a better description.
