Just an FYI...
I called today to book a last minute reservation for the upcoming weekend at CBR. We have friends that will be there and we decided to meet them and stay one night at CBR (the hotel they are staying at). I was quoted a room rate about $50.00 per night higher than that of my friends (we are all Florida residents). I questioned the agent on the phone and asked if they had any Florida resident rates, and was told yes. The agent then added she "was glad I asked because they are not allowed to offer a better rate unless the person calling asks for it".In this case I actually had to say "Florida resident rate". The agent knew from the start of the conversation that I was a Florida resident (we have stayed numerous times and are in Disney's system), but she had to quote rack rate. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share my experience. Never hurts to ask!!
