more heat, humidity and fun.....

Monday - Aug 11 - This morning Kathy is driving to WL to deliver the water and diapers she picked up for us. Ben went down to meet her and came back with more than I expected. Kathy had made the Alice dress for Keara, I posted in my pretrip report, and she bought her a pink and white Steelers jersey #7!!

We head off to the boat launch to the Contemporary and had this awesome (http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/69/569/0/32/69/2596032690042804337ygjslN_th.jpg) view (http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/72/72/7/4/48/2725704480042804337wcZSdw_th.jpg) of the new resort (http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/60/760/2/97/96/2069297960042804337jzUdVi_th.jpg)being built. We change monorails at the TTC and we are off to Epcot. The wait time for Spaceship earth was crazy, the line was winding up and down, so we kept walking. We met up with Kathy and headed for Ellen. We just love this show. Besides, it's a sit down indoor ride. You can't beat that. While we are watching the final jeopardy, Stupid Judy made the ride break down, so we had to leave. We split up from Kathy to get lunch. Katy got chicken nuggets and fries for her and Keara and Ben and I headed for Mexico. He ordered the combination platter and I got the nachos. Katy and Keara helped me eat them. They were delicious!!

We met up with Capt Jessica Sparrow and soon after Kathy and her family rejoined us and BethanyMouse also arrived with her fiance Anthony. Our 1st mini meet (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2881480210042804337ZZbotj)was born. We had a nice time talking with Bethany and Anthony, she told us about some of her wedding plans! They are so cute. Keara (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2645201280042804337VsbiEO) was just chillin' out while we all talked. She was such a good girl......but that would soon be changing (http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/69/569/1/15/10/2399115100042804337hjDAos_th.jpg).

We headed to Mexico for a fun ride with some fun fowl. Then off to Mexico to see the trolls. Keara loves the boat rides. She laughs and waves and has a great time. Ben had a bit too much of that Norweigan alcohol, and Kathy snapped a great picture of him (see Kathy's post Day 3). We decided to follow Steph's lead and head for Figment. I just love that song, it gets in my head and stays there. "One little spark, of inspiration....." Then we headed for the seas. As we are walking just before reaching The Land, Ben sees his favorite bird he has affectionately named, "Birdzilla." (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2980914310042804337dmoJrL) We saw this same type bird in December last year. If anyone knows what type of bird this is, please let me know.

After visiting with Nemo, it is time for us to check in at LeCellier. We brought Jessica along and we had the BEST time. The food, the friends, how can you go wrong? You can't. We had an awesome server who went above and beyond the call of duty. He was fabulous. We ordered the filet, no mushrooms, with the cream cheese mashed potatoes. This is, by far, our favorite place in all the world. It is a must do for our family EVERY TRIP!!! It just wouldn't be right if we didn't. We also had the chocolate whiskey cake, the maple creme brule and ice cream. Everthing was so delicious. If you haven't been, just try it. You might be surprised.

After dinner, we headed for Mexico to get a good spot for Illuminations. We like to stand along the lagoon in front of the :marg: stand. It's a great view. Kathy and her family went for Soarin' with the intent to meet up with us, but things just didn't work out. After watching an awesome show, Jessica headed out and we slowly walked and shot some interesting (http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/65/765/0/85/30/2470085300042804337GrQcmI_th.jpg) pictures of a very famous ball (http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/65/765/6/47/56/2974647560042804337gfXnel_th.jpg).

We catch the monorail back to TTC, the resort monorail to MK and then a boat to WL. What a great trip on that boat at night. It is so beautiful. The water pageant is passing by, not lit up though, as we head for WL. Back in the room, we catch some of the Olympics.

It's been difficult to fall asleep at night so I watch the games until I can't keep my eyes open. This makes for some short nights, though.

Next up - DHS and....here comes the rain and the pain.

Some of my pix are coming up as tiny little things. Take this link to my page (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/565597359SIcRkR), and you can see them in full size. Sorry.

Thanks for dinner at Le Cellier! It was far more than you needed to do for us - a simple thanks was plenty!

In order to get the pics to come up large, click on the "600" size before linking to the pic. That makes them as large as possible.

Fun day! I like Le Cellier, but I'm not blown away by it. Still, it's a good meal, and good times with friends along. What a great mini-meet!

Shhhh. Don't tell my 8th grade civics teacher, Mr. Bean. I would never hear the end of it. Sorry for the geographical oopsie. I was typing this last night while trying to keep my eyes open. I have hardley slept since we returned home.

Okay, so we went to Norway for a troll visit. My bad.
