This has probably been asked before so apologies in advance. Does anyone know how much it costs for personalized mouse ears for a child? Thank you.:mickey:

We bought a couple last year and I'm thinking the price was around $8.00. I'm not certain, but I'd saay that is ball park.

you can get these ears at La Chapeau on Main Street.
you choose for 19 different bases and 19 different ears and plenty of stickers.

bases run from $4.95-$5.95
ears run from $2.50-$3.50
and each sticker is $2.95
the embroidering on the back is $3

I paid around $8-$10 for a standard pair of ears, then had them later embroidered at a wonderful store in MK at Mickey's ToonTown Fair for $3.

Best bargain souvenir at the parks for a child if you ask me

For a standard hat, the cost is $9.95 and $3 for the embriodery. I refuse to call it personalization anymore since there is nothing personal about it.

A machine does the work. There is not sweat put out over it and it truly was the loss of an art form.

I've seen people be able to recreate characters, logos, and the castle with the old style....BY HAND! Do you know how amazing that looked?

When I went to WDW in 2006, I was kinda surprised they had started charging for the names. I was in DLR in Spring of 2007, and at that time embroidery was still free (they had upgraded to the new computerized machines, so no more swirly curly-Qs :(). Plus, the hats themselves were $2 cheaper at DLR. I haven't been in over a year, so they may also have hiked prices there.

They don't do the handmade names at all anymore ? I thought there was like one store that still did ? That's dumb if they don't because it looks so much nicer the handmade way :(

My DD7 had one made at Le Chapeau last week and it ran just shy of $25.
