Day 5, August 8
Up and out early this moring to go to MGM. Our plan was to head for TSM, FP it and ride it. Well that was everyone else's plan as well. In fact people were full on sprinting (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008260.jpg) to the back of the park- even with kids in their hands. Their stuff was falling all over and everything, it was crazy, I have never seen anything like it- so I had to take some pics (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008259.jpg)! There really was no need to run. We got there in plenty of time and rode it (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008261.jpg)and FP it for later. Anthony won again. Over to TOT (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008263.jpg) (we are in the back row!) and then rode RNRC (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008268.jpg) (front seats!!!! wow!!) Our plan was to just go on TSM for our FP and then head out to the Pop, so that is what we did. I won the last time of TSM, what a great ride!
Back at the Pop we decided to grab lunch before heading back to the room. I opted for a Ceaser Salad (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008278.jpg)and Anthony chose an Italian Ciabatta sandwich (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008258.jpg). Both were very good. As soon as we sat down the skies opened up and it poured!!! Crazy rain came down. The dining area began to fill up and I was grateful our timing was just right.
After the rain stopped we swam for a bit and then got ready for dinner at Ohana's. Anthony suggested we wear our matching monorail shirts and we did! What fun! We also made sure to get our picture taken on the monorail (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008317.jpg)(what nerds we are!) It was delicious (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008319.jpg) as always! The did change the scalloped potatoes to lo mein (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008323.jpg)- Anthony liked it better and I missed the potatoes! They also have fried wontons (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008316.jpg). The shrimp (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008325.jpg) is now on a skewer too. Anthony treated for drinks to celebrate our wedding planning. I got a sunken treasure (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008315.jpg), delicious and he opted for a mai tai (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008314.jpg)! No worries they still have the banana bread pudding (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008331.jpg)!!
We headed over to MK and the skies opened up again! It really came down. We managed to get under the monorail covering before entering the kingdom. The wind was whipping (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008345.jpg)and the rain was coming down so fast it was creating flooding (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008344.jpg) everywhere. I sure this is nothing compared to Fay, but what a storm we experienced. After the rain slowed down we went into the park and did the Laugh Floor, watched Spectromagic and Wishes. We rode pirates, Philharmagic, and Buzz again (I won!). I loved this picture (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008360.jpg) I got of the castle, and this one (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20world%202008/?action=view¤t=DisneyWorld2008359.jpg). I think it captures the magic a bit! We went back to the Pop and fell right to sleep. We were exhausted!!!
Thanks for reading! Up next: Animal Kingdom, and wedding pavillion again!
