If you had to pick one, which would it be? Is Kona Cafe as kid friendly as 'Ohana? DD will be 4 and DS will be almost 1 1/2 if that helps. Thanks!

I vote for O'hana. IMHO - The food and service are much better. Adding to that, the view is good - especially during Wishes, when they pipe in the narration. There's entertainment for the kids (mine were 2&1/2 and 4&1/2), featuring Mickey and including fun games.

It was loud - so no problem if the kids have a cranky moment. We ate there twice and are planning to go back.

I didn't like the Kona Cafe. Neither the breakfast nor the lunch were tasty. The service was very slow, callous and disorganized.

I would say "Ohana too, especially with kids. Kona can be hit or miss (a miss for me) and "Ohana will be a hit with kids.

Kona is perfectly fine for kids, if a little boring. 'Ohana has a family-friendly atmosphere with games for kids and songs, lots more fun. But you could comfortably choose either. I prefer 'Ohana.

I would go with O'Hana, children like the games and it has a nice atmosphere for adults.

I've never eaten at Kona, but I've always loved Ohana (though we're skipping it this trip for the first time to try more new places). Your DD will enjoy the hula lesson and the coconut races. Ask for a table with a view of the castle (you may have to wait).

I've heard lots of good things about the food at Kona (Tonga Toast especially), but in exploring the Poly, the setting of the Kona reminds me of an airport restaurant - it seems that there are several tables abutting the railing separating the restaurant from the walkway of the second floor common area.

I would say Ohana for the kids but Kona Cafe was one of my favorites last time. I loved the crab cakes. My kids liked the food at both places but we got out of Kona Cafe much quicker.

Tough choice but I'll go with 'Ohana. Good food in either place though :tasty: :eat:

We've never eaten at the Kona Cafe but loved Ohana's, so I would pick Ohana's.

I'm going with the masses on this one, O' Hana! It's has great food and there's the coconut races. Which the kids would like. The view of the seven seas lagoon and the singing . Love it .:papple::lei::papple:

I'm really in the minority on this one: Kona Cafe. The crab cakes are wonderful, as are the deserts. But if I had kids, I'd probably try Ohana.
