Magical Journeys and Room Requests

A question for others who use Magical Journeys: we added a room request to our reservation through our Magical Journeys agent. Before we started using Magical Journeys, we used to fax a room request 3-4 days before our arrival. Is this still necessary/a good idea or is our travel agent's request sufficient? I don't want to go overboard!

If you requests are noted on your reservation, you don't need to worry about faxing too.

I've heard that they no longer look at the faxes, they just get too many.

We always note the requests on the reservation, and then ask again (nicely) at check-in.
