Hey all,
Tomorrow I am defending my thesis at Purdue for my Master of Science degree. After I pass, I finally get to move to the Boston Area :mickey:

Any and all luck would be greatly appreciated

Just remember, with all the research you've done, there's a good chance you know more about your thesis topic than anyone else in the room!

Well, here goes nothing. I'm about to head to the conference room to set up and within the hour I will start my presentation. Thank you all for the luck and the pixie dust. Keep them coming for the next couple of hours!

I passed! The presentation went very smoothly and I was able to answer all the questions that my committee proposed concerning my research. I really can't describe the feeling right now except for a mix of utter joy, disbelief, and sheer exhaustion.
Other than a few minor changes in my thesis, I am all set to move to Boston to start my new career :mickey:

Thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts today. It meant alot. You guys rock:number1:

Hooray, congratulations! I didn't have a chance to respond to this thread earlier, but I was sending mental pixie dust. You didn't need it anyway- you knew your stuff. :thumbsup:

I hope you enjoy the Boston area. I think MA is a great state to live in, despite the taxes and the cost of living.

have you decided on which part of the Boston area you would like to settle in?

If you should be here by the fall you'll love it! I know we have had a ton of rain this summer but that supposedly means the colors of the leaves this fall will be spectacular!!

If you should be here by the fall you'll love it! I know we have had a ton of rain this summer but that supposedly means the colors of the leaves this fall will be spectacular!!

Yep. We are moving to Woburn. Tomorrow the packers come, Tuesday they load the truck and leave, and Wednesday we leave. Its all happening pretty fast and is a little overwhelming, but we are excited to be doing it.

If you don't want to sound like a "foreigner" pronounce it "WOOBIN" :blush:

After you settle in there is a Rain Forest Cafe in the Burlington Mall and for cheap facials, massages, waxing etc there is a school that the students do all that right near the mall, Catherine Hinds.
Also, if you need any housing stuff there is a crate and barrel outlet store nearby. A couple of times a year they have huge sales.
