Hi, I grew up there, I would highly suggest renting a car, It's going to be less than a taxi for sure. It's more of a driving town, too. I suggest a meal at The Hurricane, on Passagrille, too!

I also suggest renting a car. Doing a one day rental is going to be a heck of a lot cheaper than taking a cab. Its a little over an hour from WDW to St. Pete.

Almo & National Car Rentals are on property, they pick you up at your resort if you are staying on property. Their prices are not too bad.

Try a one way car rental - Sirata Beach Resort on St Pete Beach has an Avis Car Rental on property and both Dollar and Enterprise have locations on the beach.
