We are coming to WDW in Jan. We are a family of three adults and three children. One adult in in a wheel chair.and must have a drive in shower and a little extra space for her power chair. The children are 7,4,1, Where do you suppose the best place in the value resorts can we stay. And is there a long wait for the buses for people in chairs?

Valur resort rooms have a maximum occupancy of 4 people + 1 child under 3. Your party is 5 people + 1 child under 3.

You can book 2 rooms at a Value resort, and you can also look into the Family Suites at All Star Music, which sleeps 6. But then again, I sincerely doubt any of the Family Suites have an accessible bathroom ... but I've been wrong before.

Call WDW Ressies and ask to speak w/ a disability specialist. They will help you. I personally know of 2 people who are power w/c bound--1 stayed at AKL and the other at a FW Cabin and both raved about the accommodations in regards to being accessible. They aren't "value priced" though.

One thing to remember is that by coming in January you are coming in value season and the rates will be much lower...add in someform of discount (AAA) and you might be able to do "more room" than you first thought. I''d also be resort fleixible because there just might be some promotional discounts for the "off-season" time you will be visiting...and there are often good deals at places like Old KEy WEst and Saratoga Springs. I might consider contacting one of the intercot sponsored travel agents, who could do the discount watching for you.

If you stay in the values, you will either have to get a family suite or two rooms-just call the main number for reservations....I believe most or all of the resorts have handicap accessible bathrooms:)

I believe Pop Century has a large number of connecting rooms, many of which are accessible. We haven't visited the other value resorts, but we'll be staying at POP in just a few days for the second time, and we love it! We actually chose 2 rooms here over the (cheaper) POR 1 room option.

We don't take the bus (we drive down and use the car), so I'm not able to answer that for you. But I'm sure someone w/ more info will be along soon and can speak about that! :mickey:
