Which Water Park?

a friend is going to be in ther world at the end of oct and wants to spend one day at a waterpark, i have not been to either so i figured you guys could help, thanks in advance

We've been to both. BB is are favorite.

I prefer Typhoon Lagoon. Maybe it's because I live in Winnipeg, Canada - a city plagued with -50 degree celcius weather for a couple months per year and Im sick at the sight of snow - but likely because Typhoon Lagoon has Shark Reef. If your friend wants to experience snorkling with sharks and a nice, warm tropical atmosphere...I highly recommend Typhoon Lagoon. We'll be heading there at the end of August!

TL! I love the shark reef and wave pool there!

My personal choice is Blizzard due to the fact i love the mad rides :thumbsup:

i actually loved River country- but its never been re-opened

Typhoon Lagoon is awesome- so is BB- but the wave pool rocks enough to give it a #1

Blizzard Beach just has more slides and seems more fun.

BB is our favorite. Better family raft ride and lots of tube slides vs mat slides. Also Summit Plummit if your nuts!

While I have never done BB (maybe this trip), we just love TL! Swimming with sharks is sooo much fun and the lazy river ride is just amazing. Part of the appeal might be that we live in Colorado, home of snow and ski resorts -- so that theming isn't all that appealing.

BB is our favorite, mainly because we really love the family raft ride, Teamboat Springs. is much longer and more fun than the one at TL. BB also has the extra tall Summit Plummit which my boys love to slide on (but is always has a long wait).
On the other hand, TL has the wave pool, which BB doesn't have, and the Crush 'n Gusher, the roller coaster type raft ride, which is lots of fun. Both have the lazy rivers and lots of other things including the shark reef at TL, so you'll have a great time at either one.

Why I love BB best:

1) Seems cleaner to me - while all Disney parks are immaculate, I have major water park germ phobia and BB has much less rogue sand/dirt.
2) The slides are AWESOME. Even if you don't like intense rides, there are GREAT middle of the road slides. Especially noteworthy, the Teamboat Springs family raft ride is the largest raft ride of it's kind in the US and great for all ages.
3.) The theming and decor is very impressive - you can tell a lot of work went into it and it really immerses you in the whole idea.
4.) I like the lazy river better.
5.) Tobaggan Racers are SO much fun. I was a little intimidated, but it's such an easy, FUN ride!
6.) Last, but not least, the SKI LIFT is GREAT instead of climbing a million stairs to get to some of the slides!

BB has the better slides, I mean...Summit Plummet...nuf said!:D But TL has the better wave pool, and Shark Reef (must-do), and their slides and rides are not lacking fun time. If I could only do one, it would probably be TL.:thumbsup:

TL for us, shark reef and wave pool, Lazy River and wait time for slides at BB.

I'm not going to vote because it depends on the time of year for me. When it is really hot I prefer TL. When it is less hot, then BB.

I liked BB better cuz it wasn't as crowded, and the family teamboat ride rocked!
