No MNSSHP on Oct 3rd??

I just got a call from WDW Ticketing and they are cancelling the halloween party on Friday Oct 3rd. Luckily we can go on the 2nd. They did not give a reason except to say that due to operational reasons, the party was being cancelled for that night. Anyone know what is happening???
