May 2009 trip

We are heading to Disney in May 2009. I know Memorial Day is super crazy, but how are the crowds from the Tuesday after Memorial Day into the next week. I'm concerned about heavy crowds with field trips from schools....
When is school out in Florida and how much do field trips affect the traffic volume at Disney during those 2 weeks after Memorial Day?

Crowds aren't too bad that first week after Memorial Day. A lot of schools are out then, but the big summer crowds don't really pick up until mid to late June. There will definitely be crowds, but you won't find a non-crowded time any more so just have a plan, relax, and you'll have a great time.

I just wanted to say, Welcome to the boards!

I don't have a lot to share because...historically, we have gone the week before Memorial Day, and the crowds are not bad at all. The crowds picked up significantly on the Sat before and through Memorial Day.

If you are thinking about it, the week before Memorial Day is a lovely time to visit!
