We are staying at pop century and i was wondering about other pools at the different hotels. My dad thinks you can swim in the other hotel pools because you are staying on disney property. I think that isn't true, but I want to know which one is right.

You are correct. You can only swim in your resort pool.

You are right - The only time that this isn't the case if you are staying at Port Orleans. Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are sister resorts and guests of each are allowed to use the others pools, but that is the only place where that is allowed.

I think the All Stars are also considered sister resorts and allow pool hopping (for those guests staying at an All-Stars).

Other than that, no pool hopping is allowed unless you are a DVC Member. Even then there are pools that are off limits, including Yacht/Beach Club and ALK.

Pool hopping WAS allowed at one point a looooong time ago, but it is no longer an option.
