My girls love both rides so much that we get off and go right back in line again! Those are the 2 rides they talk about all the time!!! I think that is the main reason we go to Disney World every year!

For the original versions, though, it probably would have been HM!

Looks like I'm the lone ranger here. I love the Haunted Mansion. I like POTC as well but there is just something about that spooky CM that gets you into the ride and all those holograms.:cool:

I think from when you first walk in the gates to when you get out of your Doom Buggy, the HM is a superbly themed ride. The TLC it got during its renovation last year was respectfully done. It's also DH's favorite ride and it gets my vote.

DH also loves Pirates so this was a hard choice!

I love both rides but I had to go with POTC. It was the first ride that I ever rode at WDW.

I enjoy both of these equally, I had to go with POTC because of its sentimental value. My mom has a picture of me when I was 2 at Disneyland. That made me choose it over HM. But I do love them equally. Tough decision on this one.:mickey:

I was going to choose POTC because I love the entrance queue and the whole idea of the time of the pirates.

Then I remembered how my son reacted to his first time in HM. When he saw the hanged man in the stretch room he started to laugh and made other people in the room laugh.

Then during the ride he would laugh at different scenes that were supposed to be "scary." So, because of that and the great memories I will have of the HM, I had to pick it.

What gives me a good chuckle is that as of my vote, the voting was about 50/50. Just the way it should be for these two rides.

This was a very tough one. I had to go with HM though. It holds a special place in my heart because it was the very first ride I ever rode at Disney World. I've made it a point to ride it first on every trip I've been on.

I went with POTC but not for the usual reasons. This is by far my mom's favorite attraction and whenever we get close enough for her to hear the theme music, she just lights up and starts singing along like a 5 year old. It is the best to see and for that, i pick it!:D

Really tough choice! I love both of these rides and could ride either one over and over again. I chose POTC, though...it has been one of my favorite rides in WDW (and my favorite in MK) since I was about 5 years old and took my first WDW trip! It's always our first ride and last ride in MK! :pirate:

Having rode both rides at MK and Disneyland, I picked Haunted Mansion, This ride is so much better at WDW than DL. I prefer the POTC ride at DL to MK only because they have 2 fun drops at DL.

Man..what a choice. Two classics that have recently been rehabbed and improved (IMHO). I had to go with the HM. It is such a classic!!

haunted mansion by far. my son is 5 and has been there twice (2 and 3 years) and we are going this september and he sees that horse and buggy outside and says "look its an visible hurse" phoenetically speaking.:mickey:

i have put in a library in my house and i'm trying to go all out with the wall paper from the hm, the wife is hesitant.

One attraction may win by only one vote. In the event that the poll closes as a "tie", the tie-breaker will feature two extinct attractions in MK battling it out to see which (POTC or HM) moves on to face the AK finalist. Not giving away which extinct attractions those are, though! ;)

This was a coin flip for me. I like both of these classic rides equally. I chose Pirates, but I do not have a good reason why I picked it over HM.:confused::mickey:

The finals have been pretty tough. I went with HM on this one. Only because they've changed PoTC so much from the original. I love what they did with the rehab of HM. And it has such a great story anyway.

It's amazing how close it is - I just tied it up again at 47.

Form me it had to be Pirates. However, they both share my favorite Disney quality. They both "transport" you to a completely different world.

They are both awesome rides but I picked HM. It is much more romantic riding in the Doom Buggy just my wife and me then in a big boat with strangers. lol :hmghost:

Normally everyone I know expects me to pick POTC because I kept my eyes closed during the Haunted Mansion ride, but surprising to all, I love the Haunted Mansion! I love the feeling of being scared and having things pop up at me when I least expect it.

HM was closed last summer, so I haven't seen the refurb, but the whole second half of the ride doesn't appeal to me at all. I voted for those scurvy pirates.

While both would be in my top 5 attractions, it was actually easy to choose Pirates. It's the first ride we go on whenever we visit the parks and many times the last as well.
