We are staying MK view at the Poly next month. Kind of wishing we did a garden view at the Poly and requested a more central location..has anyone ever downgraded? Even at check in time?

DRC would let you downgrade as long as there is still availibility in a garden view room for your dates. If you are on a package and change your reservation under 45 days, there is a $50.00 change fee and a $10.00 processing fee.

Is that a $50.00 change fee per person, or is that the flat change fee? That would make a difference.

Did you apply a discount to your room? If so and there are no discounts left for the garden view room, you'll end up paying rack rate. Depending on your discount, the cost of downgrading and rack room rate, may be more than what you already have booked. Just something to doublecheck.

I believe this is the most current change policy for packages:

Changes to Reservation - For a change made 44 days or less prior to guest arrival that results in a change in the package price, a change fee of $50 per package, plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers, will be charged. Disney reserves the right to restrict changes to any reservation. Such change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in the package price resulting from the change. If air travel has been ticketed, guest will be responsible for any increase in airfare as well as the change fee assessed by the airline.

It is $50 per package, not per person.

We Have Been To The Poly 4 Times And We Get Garden View. We Always Stay At The Samoa Building. Ask For Pool Side And You Are In A Great Location.

Never mind, the discount code we booked with is no longer available, so to switch to a garden view room would actually cost us more at this point!! Thanks everyone.
