If you pre-order the CD, can you pick it up at WDW at the end of your trip? Do ALL your photos fit on the CD, or do they make you pick just a few? Thanks.

I would guess you woulnt' be able to pick it up. It arrives in the mail, and rather quickly.

My pics didn't fit on one CD. So there was a second CD. I think 300 fit on one.

No you can not get it at the parks. You will have to go back to the Photopass website and enter your photopass codes. Then you can add boarders and park stamps to the pictures. This adds a picture to you total number. You can put 300 pictures on a CD. If you go over that you will get another CD.

Was there an additional cost for the second CD?

Once you get your cd can you print these off at home or a photo place? Or do you have to have Disney make the copies?

You can print them wherever you like. Either take the disc in, or put them on your computer and do it electronically (Walmart and Costco offer this service) and then pick them up the next day.

You can make copies anywhere your little heart desires. When you receive your cd(s), you'll also receive a copyright release from Disney. Take it with you if you print your photos in a store, and that way you can prove that you have a right print to those "commercial" photos if anyone asks. I've never had anyone say anything to me, though; to me, they look just like the photos I take with one minor exception--I'm in them, for a change! :mickey:

This is a great idea. Now I don't have to ask a CM to take a pic with my camera as well. And the whole family can be in the shot instead of one of us holding the camera. At least for all the Icon and character shots.

You used to be able to get the cd's made at the photo shop at Epcot (on the left, near the entrance/exit) and at the MK, but you could not add any borders or anything, and I don't think you could get the pre-ordered (discounted) cd there.

The last time we did the PhotoCD, we ordered it right before we left. So about an hour and a half before we reached WDW... You receive the code in your email so that when you get back you can order the CD.

We had over 1700 pics on our CDs...cause we went back about 5 more times withint the 30 days before the first ones expired. And they just keep adding them. Really, I think you could order hte CD AFTER you got back... cause all the pics I alreayd had in my account from a day trip a week before we went ended up on the CD as well...

Just pre-ordered my photopass cd for our trip at the end of August. Seems to me that with the money back guarantee, I can't lose! This will limit DH from having the photo pass people use his camera and their camera- which can wear a little thin in the heat!!

i did the preorder for my dec trip last year. DO NOT pick up the cd in wdw. come home and use the 30 days they give you to change all the pics with borders and such. if you start with lets say 10 pictures and there are 6 borders per pic you can finish up with 60 pictures. they keep your original pic and give you all the new ones you play around with. do not order the cd until you are absolutely sure you are done playing with the borders. when i did mine i changed every single picture of the 400 i took to different borders.

there is no charge if they need to put your pics on to a second or 3rd cd. the max pics you can get is 999 at least thats what they said to me.

when i took my pics in wdw i made sure i hit every single pp photographer and sometimes 2 and 3 times in case there was something wrong with the sun or light or anything.

You have to purchase it before your trip to get the discount. They will send you a reminder before the 30 days are up if you haven't ordered the actual CD by that time. I wish there was a way to get your photos from your own camera on the CD.

So, we should be okay if we order ours the day before we leave (which is 3 days before we arrive, since we're driving)?

I'm so excited about this! Having so many pictures, esp. w/ all of us in them, will help keep our trip fresh in my memory even longer. :cloud9:

I think you'll be fine as long as you have that magic code number dated before you start having pictures taken.

I'm buying it before my August trip this year, but for our February trip I bought the discounted CD after we got back. I did not mean to do this, but I did not know the discount was still available.

Anyway, as of February, I had no problem buying the CD for the discounted price after the trip.

That is odd unless they were running a discount at the time. When I did it last August, it said it had to be purchased before the trip to qualify for the discount. Hmm! Worth looking at! :)

It said the same thing when I did it. We go twice a year, so if it didn't work I would have just used it 6 months later for our next trip. I don't recommend buying when you get back instead of before you leave, but I gave it shot and it worked for me.
