OK, so I griped a bit on my Photo Session experience, so I want to balance it out with a cool moment from AK.

As we rode the train to Conservation Station, DS started rubbing his eye, saying that he thinks he was bit by a mosquito. By the time we got off the train, he had little bumps around his eye, and by the time we figured out something was really wrong, the bumps were spreading across the bridge of his nose to the other eye.

As DH and I were trying to figure out who would take him to first aid, and who would stay with the other kids and keep them occupied, a Disney Dream CM was close by and recommended we go to First Aid.

The CM rode the train with DH and DS, and told them about how great his job is. He had been able to give the castle away twice, and the stories were amazing. When they arrived at First Aid, the CM stuck around to make sure everything was ok, and he gave them a certificate for a free Mickey bar later in the day.

Oops!
So excited about the free ice cream that I forgot to put the PS in about DS!

He was fine. They gave him some benadryl at First Aid, and the bumps were gone in about 1/2 hour.

Of all the allergic reactions I've seen, I NEVER saw that one on any of my kids. It was totally weird, but then totally gone!

Firstly, i am glad your DS is OK now! Secondly, that is really cool that you got a certificate for a free Mickey bar! That was very nice of the CM to do that.

It's always wonderful to read about cast members who show that kind of concern and caring towards Disney World guests! Glad your son was okay!

Glad it went away as quickly as it came on. He probably thought ice cream was worth getting the bumps! :D

That was a strange reaction to something. My first thought was contact dermatitis -poison ivy/oak/sumac. I was wondering how he got in contact with anything like that. I'm glad it went away so quickly and that the CM was so caring. It's good to hear about the good CMs.
