We spent 8 days at the world. We've been back 2 weeks. Finally I have time for a trip report. I can't possibly go day by day, I'll try to be interesting.....
Cast:
DH - 48
Mel - 38
Princess #1 - 15
Princess #2 - 6
We stayed in a 1 bedroom at the Boardwalk Villas. We absolutely loved it there. We were on the first floor with a view to the quiet pool. We loved being able to walk to Epcot and DH even walked to DHS. The girls and I opted for the boats, and he beat me every time to DHS.
We celebrated Father's Day and our 16 year anniversary during this trip. Both were recognized by a suprise (arranged by me) from Disney Florist. Father's Day was Day 2 of our trip so I was happy to order the Pirate set with 8 beers from different countries, a Pirate Hat, and a bunch of booty! He enjoyed the beer! For our anniversary, we had sparkling wine, a bride and groom ears set (yes, he did wear the ears!), and lots of treats delivered. I'm very happy with Disney Florist! They delivered right to our room with no fuss at all. I do have to tell you that if alchohol is being delivered to the room and there are children there, an adult has to accept the delivery. Somehow I managed to get both in the room while DH was otherwise engaged. I have photos of the gift sets, if anyone is interested, feel free to PM me.
We bought a Pal Mickey when we arrived. There was some confusion on activating him but once we had him going, it was cool. (Big thanks to Pablo at the Exhibition Hall for giving us the low down and escorting us to the place to activate him) DD6 did carry him around (much to my surprise) and kept saying "he wants to talk". We had to stop and listen. Sorry to anyone who had to walk around us to crowd around Pal Mickey to listen to him at first. We got her to take us aside after the first few times.
Our ADRs were FAB! Thank you all for your suggestions.
Surprise NO ADR meal: Crystal Palace our first day there. I really liked this place and I'm surprised they fit us in without an ADR. Maybe they saw the desperation in my face. Silly me took her meds and forgot to eat enough and I was needing a seat in air conditioning with my meal. DH ended up waiting on me and surprised me with Ratatouille (YUMMY).
Father's Day ADR: Le Cellier. Great Steaks. WONDERFUL cheese soup. Staff was great!!! DD15 was happy to be in Canada, the birthplace of her crush, Sidney Crosby. Dessert was a paticular favorite of mine. Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Mouse. So cute and delish!
Chef Mickey: This turned out to be our favorite character interaction meal. It was so much fun!!!! DD6 has never hugged Mickey (I know!) and Mickey just KNEW WHAT TO DO. He came and sat next to her and gently put his arm around her. I can tell you she LOVED it and they were like old friends any time she saw him after!
More to come.... ADRs and special Moments
