DDP - Disney Dining Plan is a pay in advance for your meals program. You get a snack, counter service & table service credit for each night of your vacation package. The CS includes a beverage, entree & dessert. The TS includes entree, beverage & dessert (no tip). The credits are valid only for the length of your package and cannot be saved.
DDE - Disney Dining Experience is a discount card you purchase. It gives you a 20% discount off of most table service restaurants including alcohol purchases. There are a few counter service places included in the discount program. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill for TS restaurants.

in a nutshell...
the ddp is a prepaid meal plan that gives you a daily "credit" allowance towards the different types of food offered by price structure.....it is for a single trip and is calculated based upon the nights your are staying....
the dde is a discount card that is good for a 20% discount on food and beverage that is good for 1 year for purchase....as stated above....gratuity at 18% is automatically added back on.....it is available to annual passholders and florida residents only at the current time
