Is it still possible to request a certain building or room?

Yes it is. If you booked the vacation yourself, you can call CRO and have them add a request to your reservation. If you booked through a travel agent, contact them and they'll pass along your requests to Disney.

Do yourself a favor and don't request a specific room number. The rooms assigner won't know why you picked that number, and if the room is already taken they'll have no choice but just give you any old room.

Put your request in words, as few words as possible, such as "first floor, near bus" or "river view, secluded area."

We tried to cover all our bases. When we called the reservation number we asked for a building close to the main area. Then five days before we faxed a request to the hotel fax number and followed the instructions in info central about requesting and prioritizing our requests (we also wanted a king room on a second floor overlooking the water).

It worked out perfect because we got moved into a preferred building and got a corner king room on a second floor.

Just be mindful that they can't always accomodate your requests. But it can't hurt to ask. :mickey:
