Do they have meerkats in animal kingdom?? [Archive]

I meant to try and look for them last trip, but we ended up only spending like 5 hours in animal kingdom so I never got the chance. Just wondering if anyone knew.

Yep! A whole clan of them though I cant remember what trail theyre on. They are SO adorable!

They are in their own viewing area with these telescopes... LOL at our youngest DD who was trying to figure out how to use it.

I believe the meerkats can be seen on the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail next to the Kilimanjaro Safari's.

They can be found on the Pangani Forest Trail in the Africa section of the park.

I seem to remember them there too.

But my all out favorite had to be the naked mole rats. I was FASTINATED by them. They had a huge exhibit but they were all piled on top of on another. Supposedly they do that naturally but I was feeling a little "Monkish" about them (referencing the obsessive/compulsive detective Adrian Monk)...and I had an overwhelming desire tp pick them up and place an even number in each burrow.

It's fun to watch them. They just stare up at the sky, as if waiting for a hawk to come and snatch them. They are very cute. My dogs would have all sorts of fun with them.

Yes, they are there and they are adorable. I could sit and watch them forever. I can't wait to go back and see them again. In the mean time I will watch Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet.:mickey:
