FQ to AK....how far?

I booked the Backstage Safari Tour for our October visit and we are staying at the FQ. They told me we need to arrive at the gate of AK by 8:15 AM. That day the AK has an EMH in the evening, but the park does not appear to open until 9:00 AM in the morning.

Will the bus be running that early or should we take a cab? If we take a cab, approximately how much will that cost and how long will it take?

Also, if anyone has taken this tour please let me know if you enjoyed it.

It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to AK from FQ. The buses start running about an hour to an hour and a half before the parks open (I've been at the MK an hour before rope drop, and character breakfasts start earlier than park openings) so you should be able to make it on time for the tour with the bus.

I'd ask the front desk at FQ what the bus schedule will be on the day of your tour. If it looks like you will be cutting it close, I'd use a cab. However, I'm not sure what the cost and time for that would be.
