So today we’re all pooped. Like we’ve never been pooped before. BrieAnna has packed, but her flight out doesn’t leave until 0845pm so there’s still so much day ahead of us. Instead of going to the parks today, we decided to just hang out by the pool and rest. We were all so tired, we really couldn’t do anything else at this point. Gray’s feet have come back around and he’s running again, Colbey is just tired and angry because he’s tired, and Robin and her family, well, lets just say we’re at this point 2 families sharing a vacation.

One thing I failed to mention, I think, is that during our EPCOT day, BrieAnna went pearl hunting in the Japan Pavilion. Her oyster had twin pearls, but she didn’t take the time to have them set. I must preface this by saying that I love my husband. He has been a jewel this whole time. He has listened to me when I threw my hands up not knowing what to do. He played father figure to my nephew, holding his hand when he was scared on a ride. And when it came to BrieAnna, you would have thought she was his own child. They played and laughed, cutting up at all the right times. He has been my salvation each day and I couldn’t have made it without him.

Well Jeff knew that since around 6pm I would be taking BrieAnna back to the airport, I would be gone quite a while. Around 2pm, he took her to the side, they left, and the two of them went off to DTD so she could shop until her very last minute. Just her and her alone. He told me he didn’t mind taking her and letting me stay around resting. There was no need for me to be gone all day when he could take her for a while. After all, our kids were there too.

We made no ADRs for today because we really had no idea when I would have to take her back or when I would return. I must say though that DME is most accommodating in this area. They provided me with round trip transportation to take her to the airport since she was a minor. No questions asked. They were wonderful with this and though her paperwork was goofed up, they took care of everything. If everything was as simple, life would be wonderful.

While I went to the airport, Jeff, Gray, & Colbey decided to go to DTD and have family night. They left, with no good-byes, see ya’ later or anything. He said they were cooped up in their bedroom on the phone complaining about the trip again, so they just left. Oh well. They ate at Planet Hollywood, :ack:, and see a movie, The Incredible Hulk. How dare they see a Universal movie at Disney? I met up with them around 11:30/12:00, hit the WoD store quickly, then back to SSR for a good night sleep

And BTW, yes, the drama was still there today as well. Older Sister, Robin, informed me around 9:30 via a text message, that she wasn’t going to make dinner the next night.:bang: Didn’t matter that I made these ressies 6 months ago, she decided today she didn’t want to go. Now I need to cancel ADRs for 7 and remake them for 4. Child birth was easier, but I can get it done.

It sounded like some much-needed rest was in order today . . . wonderful that DH has been such a partner through it all. It's great that he took BrieAnna for more extended shopping while you chilled for awhile, too.

Ugh, just when it looks like some of the drama from DSis is gone, it shows back up like a bad penny! :( Not an easy task to reschedule an ADR at this late date. Wishing that everything turns out for you! :mickey:

Now I understand why you titled your thread the way you did!

It is definately better to travel with just your own family, I have come to grips with that as well.

Thanks for sharing.

Yikes it sounds like your DSis couldve used a little pixie dust! I'll never understand how anyone can not feel the magic in the air at WDW and just be happy to be in the moment.

That was sweet of Jeff to let you relax and escort BrieAnna on her last minute shopping spree. Im glad that DME was so accomodating for you and she was able to get off safely.

What a great guy your DH is. He is truly a keeper. I'm sorry that your Dsis is being a pain. Did you know, though, that when you check into the restaurant...just let them know that your party is smaller, they can accomodate it right at the check in time. However, be mindful that it wouldn't work if you are adding more, at least not all the time. It's just a matter of what is available that day.

Thanks for sharing. :mickey:

Sounds like a day of rest was a much needed break. Sorry it didn't improve the family "stuff" that is going on. :mickey:

Your trip report could be a predictor to mine trip! I am making ADR's on Saturday and I am so afraid that I will get a similar phone call from DSis or DBro once we get to WDW telling me their family will not be making it to dinner.

Thanks for the report!
