I've seen the different price tiers at the WL which consist of Standard View, Woods View, Courtyard View. The last two are self explanatory, but what do you get with a standard view? Isn't the entire complex surrounded by trees anyway? Thanks!

Standard view may overlook the service area, parking lot or even a roof.

Standard view is like the outside of the building. The first time we went we got a standard view, and you could see the tip of Cinderella's castle. So standard views can have great views.

I stayed in a standard view room where the immediate view was the BBQ pit building for WCC. Beyond that we were able to see some of the fireworks from the MK.

The standard view rooms are located towards the front of the resort, facing the parking lot, front entrance and some overlooking the roof, as mentioned previously.

Ours was overlooking the CR. It was beautifully lit at night. The smoke house was directly below our room and the aroma was awesome. There is not a bad room at the Wl.

We had a standard view room at WL that was WRETCHED.

Our room faced trees, yeah sure, there were trees across the service are immediatly under our room which access the dumpsters for the WL restaurants. Every morning backup alarms beep beep beep and clunk crash as they emptied the dumpsters.

Very unwildernessy.

This room was on the restaurant side of the "V" of the lodge.

So next visit we payed extra for a courtyard view. Note week: with the DVC rooms located on the side of the lodge opposite the restaurants, ALL rooms down that wing are considered 'courtyard view'.
