Hello! Looking for suggestions on a place to stay in Salem. Doesn't matter if it's a chain, or locally owned, but close to the T would be nice. We're hoping to get into Boston for a day, and reallllly don't want to drive.

I live about two hundred yards from the Salem line. There isn't a lot of great places to stay in Salem but you could try the Hawthorne Hotel http://www.hawthornehotel.com/ it's pretty nice. You can walk to the "T" station but it will take a little bit. Other than that you can stay outside the city. There are some bed and breakfasts in Salem but I would be a little iffy about staying at those. If your going to have to stay in Salem go with the Hawthorne.
