transfering points. How does it work?

We just bought our AKL and decided to go w/ the developers points so we didnt have to pay dues for a year. But we already hada trip planned for 7 nights in POR, for two rooms. Since weAre 30 points shy of being able to rent two rooms at SSR how do we transfer them? How hard is it to find someone who is willing to sell you the points to transfer?

The easiest thing for you may be to borrow your own points from the next year.

Each member is only allowed to do one transfer a year so it can be harder to get a member willing to do that rather than rent points. If you do a search for DVC rental you should find several sites. Points cost from $10-$14 and you agree terms with the renter. There is a lot of trust involved so be careful.
