I think it's going to be one of those days. They are working on the landscaping and roads in our area now. So this morning the doorbell rings, I grab a blanket to wrap myself up in(I'm still in my pjs) and head down the stairs to answer the door. I ended up falling down the stairs, only to have to move my car. So I head back up the stairs to get dressed and off to move my car. By the time I get back to the house, my hip is killing me. I swear I have a giantic bruise on my bum. I think I won't be going to the party tonight and I'm just going into work today just to my paperwork and head home early.

Oh Carol! Ouch! I'm so sorry you hurt yourself! Please take it easy today... put some ice on your bum to ease that pain!

Well...we leave for Sunny CA one month from today ... and because I am really not that keen on going .... Brian supported my decision to add a 5th day to our Disneyland portion of the holiday. (Happy Jenn means Happy family :D) We're still going to the desert (and the Hoover Dam, 'cause that's where the Transformers went) and Yosemite and Monterrey and San Fran....we just dropped Las Vegas from the agenda. I just really wish we were heading down to WDW instead (silly I know, but the feelings are real).

Jenn - I know you are gonna love DL when you get there! When I went I felt the same.. the whole 'wish we were going to Disneyworld instead'. .but once there the magic took over and I LOVED it! I know you will too! DL has a very special magic.. and just remind yourself that you are walking where Walt once walked! I'm now actually wanting to go back!

How is everyone's day going? Mine is better than yesterday, that's for sure. So the doctor is interviewing the receptionists I picked out. I hope she likes one of them and we can get her in here in a few weeks. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Take care all, I'll check in after lunch

My day is going very slow.. thanks for asking! Glad to hear yours is going better than yesterday. Crossing my fingers for you that the doct likes one of your picks!

Actually, I've learned to look in the mirror (Scary in itself) while I position the dropper at the lower right corner of my eye, then look kind of leftward to make the drop. I'm about to do the third right now.

You have THREE eyes? No wonder looking in the mirror is scary! :D

Mine, not so great. For years we've been trying to get the symptoms of my Ehlers-Danlos under control (pain meds, braces for my joints because they dislocate just from moving, echo cardiograms approved on a regular basis and not needing prior auth for my transfusions.) Well, 2 months ago my insurance co. decides that they are no longer willing to pay for two of my meds so against his will , because I can't afford to pay for them all, the Dr had to change some of them and boy have they been making me sick. I've lost 10 more pounds which is why I'm under 110. Apparently this morning I misjudged the timing for my phenergan so I've been reliving my meals of the last 2 days.

Wow! Sorry to hear of your troubles with insurance and your health! I hope you get to feeling better really soon!

More coffee anyone? I just made some. Anyone else dislike learning new paperwork? Or is it just me? I guess it's good I'm having to learn it but still..yuck.

No coffee here...it's not just you.. I hate learning and doing paperwork! Hope it goes quickly for you!

Can I join in on the fun? How does this work?

Hi and Welcome to the JQU University! Though right now we are away at summer camp! Just jump on in and join the fun. Just don't forget to ask a question in every post or else you will get a :nono: from Rhonda. And after three of those you will get a :banned:... no, not really.. just kidding on the banned thing.. just like that smilie and was looking for a reason to use it! Oh! You must also provide us with cookies.. and pick on Pogo and Alex at every opportunity!
Did I miss anything?

Aw poor Carol! I really hope you don't have to miss the party tonight...it sounds fun. Here's some :pixie: for your backside hehe.

Aw how nice of him to agree to add on the extra "Disney" day. I totally understand your hesitance but I think once you guys get out there you're going to have an excellent time and you'll be glad you went. Plus, you're still technically going to Disney...and you can go on all the rides there that they don't have in WDW!

Thanks for the compliments, I wasn't going to post it, I was totally embarrassed and just jotted it down in about 1/2 hr yesterday. Bruce talked me into posting it.

You should talk him into posting on here :) I hope you adjust to the new meds soon and that you can keep that food down.

Makes you wanna fast forward time so you can already "know" everything, huh?

Well campers we've made it through half the work-week. Shall we start the end of week party?

I'd be real surprised if he did. He said he had a lot of work. Loosely translated..... I don't have time for you guys ! Right Alex ????? :D

Ummm... let's see... Pogo's yard is how big? And we want it to be about 3 inches deep... who has a caluculator?

:shake:

Boy, it's quiet in here!!! Is Pogo playing golf again?
Work.... work.... work.... work ! I shot a 103. :(

Welcome to JQU. We have orientation sessions every other day. Some people survive the orientation and come out much stronger for it. :D

You have THREE eyes? No wonder looking in the mirror is scary! :D
Doesn't everybody? No wonder I get such strange looks when I go out.

How do people get all those fancy positions in their signatures for JQU?
It's a very exacting and time-consuming process.
1. Type your job description into your signature.
2. Hit submit.

I wish I could talk him into posting here, but he's not real fond of message boards for himself. However I keep him up to date and of course he loves going to meets and WDW with me. He's the best. :number1:

Hey, don't you have a large collection of disney memorabilia (sp?) maybe you could be the curator of the campus museum and archives. Did I mantion I'm glad you're here? How's your mom by the way? tell her I say HI!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Euan finished Nursery School today -- all ready to start Junior Kindergarten in September.

Well...we leave for Sunny CA one month from today ... and because I am really not that keen on going .... Brian supported my decision to add a 5th day to our Disneyland portion of the holiday. (Happy Jenn means Happy family) We're still going to the desert (and the Hoover Dam, 'cause that's where the Transformers went) and Yosemite and Monterrey and San Fran....we just dropped Las Vegas from the agenda. I just really wish we were heading down to WDW instead (silly I know, but the feelings are real).
 Congrats to Euan!! I bet he's so excited!!

I'm jealous you're going to CA... I want to go back out there to visit so badly!! Wave at the ocean in Monterey for us... and be sure to cross the Golden Gate and wave for us there, too... we went across too fast for me to enjoy, as Dan's not too keen on heights OR bridges... ;) I bet you'll have the time of your life!! (and tell Brian he's a good man... good thing he understands the #1 thing about family life -- as a Jamaican put it on our honeymoon - "If Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!!" :D)

Hello beautiful people. How is everyones day so far. Mine, not so great. Stronger or stranger??? :secret:

Well, it's a good thing I kept Emma home and took her to the pediatrician... she has strep!! She's never had it before, so I figured I was making the trip for nothing, but sure enough -- so she's on antibiotics and should be fine for our trip. Oh - and Julia has somehow gotten a mild case (so far) of poison ivy... sigh... why does it always happen right before a trip??? :thedolls:

Other than that, it's not been a bad day -- how's everyone else doing? Anything inspiring for dinner??

Hello beautiful people. How is everyones day so far. Mine, not so great.
I'm so sorry you don't feel so good. It's hard to be on medication where the timing could be the difference between getting lunch down and having it reappear! to get to feeling better. I also noticed we are going to be at WDW exactly the same time this Sept, I would love to meet you if you think you would have time!

My day is going very slow.. thanks for asking! Glad to hear yours is going better than yesterday. Crossing my fingers for you that the doct likes one of your picks!

Well the first one today was good except that we found out she's pregnant which in of itself is not a problem except she's due in October which is right after the new PA starts and right as we start flu shot clinics. It won't be a good time for her to be out on maternity leave :( We have another interview tomorrow, we'll see how that one goes.

I'm glad you are having a better day today.
What are you qualified to do ??? :D

I am, thank you, and thanks for your patience yesterday

So can I be something here? I would like to be like the head boo boo fixer or JQ Nurse (but that might be Blythe) or something...can someone come up with something fun?

So I'm almost out of here for the day. I'll check in later tonight  to ALL!!

Zoop.

Gosh what a lot of chat! :pixie: for those that need it, congrats to those that deserve it, welcome to old and new visitors and hello everyone else! Does that cover you all?

Well I finally got round to doing my CP package today. As I hadn't heard of most of the narrators I wasn't going by them but a convenient date and location. Got my first choice so I am content. Think it is a day for the speaker to be confirmed.

Had another tennis match tonight and will be having social tennis in the morning. Then a long shopping to list to fill for the big weekend of 25 folks! Think we will just about be ready by Friday night......

EWWW the grinding act was GROSS!! but... after the grinding act my sweet daughter Michelle Marie had her adorable face on the t.v. screen saying "America We Have Talent" with her friend Camron!!! I am surprised you all didn't hear the screaming going on here in Maryland!!..... Now I am going to be up until DH gets home because she is on the couch here fighting sleep because she just has to tell Daddy she was famous for 3 seconds!!
Oh Wow! How great is that????? You must be on :cloud9:

If you're a parent, you'll probably take their sickness anyway. DW got a bug off of one of our grandchildren from two weeks ago and wound up with pneumonia.
That's too bad, I hope she's better now. :pixie:

Hard to believe it's already been a week since I had my eye done. So far so good though. I can lift a whole ten pounds at a time this week.
Ten pounds all at once? You want me to get one end? :D

Did anybody besides Pogo and me watch America's Got Talent last night?
I know I'm probably an idiot, but what exactly is that show? Is it on cable or something? We don't have cable and don't watch much T.V.

Thanks, I'm back at the hotel as I lost about $60 at the casino and I hate to loose money. Plus with my job situation I don't need to loose any more money. My friends are still over there, the one guy won almost $2000.

Thanks everyone for the support of my poor bum...that doens't sound right does it? A special thank you to Ken, I really got a good laugh out of that, which trust me right now I need.

Today has been my day from someplace worse then heck. As if falling down the stairs wasn't enough, somebody went into my office and stole my purse. The lock on my office door doesn't completely lock unless you lift up the door to make it latch properly. Today I needed to go in and out of my office to get my weekly paperwork done, so I didn't bother lifting the door up, plus we were really slow so I didn't think anything of it. About 2:30 I went to go get my purse to get some ibrofin for my bum and my purse was missing. My assistant manager and I tore the store apart looking for it, nothing, she even sent me home to see if I forgot it here, which I didn't. I called Gilles to tell him, while my assistant called the police to report it stolen. I've now gotten all my credit cards cancelled(I luckily only have 2) and my debit card cancelled. My Visa and debit were cancelled as soon as I got off the phone with the police and I found out that there was no activity yet on that. My other card is a store card and I cancelled that when I go home and there was no activity on that yet either. Now I just need to change my SIN#, my SS#, get a new drivers licence and registration, insurance card, citizenship card, and health card. My camera and my ipod were also in my purse. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I don't carry any money around with me. What has been bothering me the most is that my families pictures were also in there.

I'm going to go hide and cry now, if nobody really minds.

Thanks, Mary. I really can't understand some people. We think it happened when I was measuring 65 metres of velcro and 26 metres of elastic. I had gone into my office between the velcro and elastic to see if I had ordered any because the customer needed more. I didn't notice my purse, but then again I wasn't looking for it. After I finished with the elastic I went in the office again to look for something and retreve a fax with a venders permit for the custumer I measured everything for, then I went back to the office after I took the paper up the cash, to go get my ibprofin. All this happened with 2 hours of arriving at work.

Can we just turn back the clock and start this day all over?

Again, this just plain stinks. I wish that you could turn back time and get you purse back. It makes you feel so violated, knowing that someone went through your things.

So I came across something today in my travels, thought that maybe pogo or Jym could use a couple boxes and whip something up. What do you think?

For dinner maybe tonight? (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2666693400032190626loPrug?vhost=good-times)

Sorry to hear about your purse - what a pain! At least no charges have been made, but still, to go through getting everything reissued is a royal pain! Good Luck!

Another busy but not-as-long day at work. Slowly I'm getting my computer back up - but still have a ways to go! Looks like a trip to South Carolina is back on the agenda - but likely not until August or so (sure glad I waited for the summer weather! :D).
DD got home from camp last night - sunburned, dirty, and smiling from ear to ear! We are considering signing her up for another session later in the summer - she has so much fun!
So whats for dinner? Looks like leftovers here!

OK.... here's a question for you..... If you stretch 26 metres of elastic and sew it to the 65 metres of velcro..... will the velcro still stick together or will it shrink to the 26 metres of elastic ???? :D

So can I be something here? I would like to be like the head boo boo fixer or JQ Nurse (but that might be Blythe) or something...can someone come up with something fun?

Nope, not me -- the job's all yours!! I'm the resident gardener/professor... funny, when jobs came to mind, I never even thought of being the nurse... says something, doesn't it??

...somebody went into my office and stole my purse. My camera and my ipod were also in my purse. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I don't carry any money around with me. What has been bothering me the most is that my families pictures were also in there.

I'm going to go hide and cry now, if nobody really minds.
Carol, I am so sorry that happened to you... that is just awful. Do you have any idea who did it? Will insurance cover your camera & ipod? Oh, I'd be so mad... sending you a big  and some :pixie: that things work out, and that tomorrow is a better day for you!!

So I came across something today in my travels, thought that maybe pogo or Jym could use a couple boxes and whip something up. What do you think?

For dinner maybe tonight? (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2666693400032190626loPrug?vhost=good-times)
:rotfl: Oh my gosh, that is SO funny... where did you find that???

Oh yea, well, I can beat you both! I once scored 53 on one hole in miniature golf! You sure you wnt ame to play, knowing it may be the game that never ends??
Maybe we better change our reservation time at Coral Reef.... :D

So - how's the evening for everybody? I just got done with the joyous task of packing for my girls -- with their input -- something I've never had to survive before. :shake: :bang:  How do two little girls get so many ideas in their heads?? Such and such isn't comfortable anymore... do I have to wear that together??.... this looks sooooo much better, mommy.... I just can't wear those (brand new, begged for) shoes -- my feet will hurt!! And then the dolls.... yipes!! But, it's done, they're asleep and I'm not an alcoholic.... so it's all good!!

How's everyone else doing???

Carol, big  for you! What a rotten day!

I'm hoping you guys might be available for some time next spring.
God willing! :D I'm looking forward to it!

Well, 2 months ago my insurance co. decides that they are no longer willing to pay for two of my meds so against his will , because I can't afford to pay for them all, the Dr had to change some of them and boy have they been making me sick.
Has your doctor appealed the decision? I know it's more work for her/him, but they can appeal on your behalf.

Thanks. Most days I try not to complain but, today I'm pathetic.
Those days only prove that you're human. I don't call them "pathetic" days, I call them "feeling puny." As Jasper and Jenn can attest, everyone going through a chronic illness deals with these days. For me, they make the good days feel even better (but it does stink while you're there).

Then a long shopping to list to fill for the big weekend of 25 folks! Think we will just about be ready by Friday night......
What's on the menu for the soiree, Mikki?

Mary, what a find! Thinking of buying any? ;)

Have a good night, everyone! I have to get back to work.

I wasn't kidding. I fell off a chair from a standing position. I have to stand on things all the time to reach things. I am 5 ft. tall. Even my kindergarteners at school believe I'm an elf because they've "never seen an adult that short".:D

I am so sorry you had a terrible horrible rotten no good day!! I hope your bum is feeling better though.... Hopefully your purse will turn up before you have to get all the new SS#, Drivers License etc. I am so glad nobody used your cards.... How about some nice fresh baked sugar cookies and a glass a milk to help you feel better??

Well, it's a good thing I kept Emma home and took her to the pediatrician... she has strep!! She's never had it before, so I figured I was making the trip for nothing, but sure enough -- so she's on antibiotics and should be fine for our trip. Oh - and Julia has somehow gotten a mild case (so far) of poison ivy... sigh... why does it always happen right before a trip??? :thedolls:

Other than that, it's not been a bad day -- how's everyone else doing? Anything inspiring for dinner??

AWWW poor EMMA..... She will be feeling better with the antibiotics in no time!! And poor Julia too!! I bet you will have an awesome New York trip still!! :pixie: for the girls!!

Our day was good... did some housework then gave Aunt Apple her bath and a hair cut... rolled her hair and did her nails... then the family went to McDonalds for Karaoke like we do every wednesday night. We found out that the movie theater in the next town over does free movies for the kids every wed. morning so I think we will go see a movie next week!!

Well I have some fresh baked sugar cookies to spare... anyone want one?? I think tomorrows snack will be home made waffle ice cream sandwiches!!!

Go for it..... you deserve it.... and here's a  to help you through it.

OK.... here's a question for you..... If you stretch 26 metres of elastic and sew it to the 65 metres of velcro..... will the velcro still stick together or will it shrink to the 26 metres of elastic ???? :D

Thank you, Buddy. That hug felt really good right now and I really needed that laugh.

Actually, she needed 21 more metres of elastic, that what I went to the office for, to see if I ordered any more. She uses it for manufacturing. Don't ask I don't know.

Carol, I am so sorry that happened to you... that is just awful. Do you have any idea who did it? Will insurance cover your camera & ipod? Oh, I'd be so mad... sending you a big  and some :pixie: that things work out, and that tomorrow is a better day for you!!

We have an idea, but like the police said we really don't know for sure, so there's nothing for them to do. I was heading to the office and there was a guy standing outside the door looking at some fabric. I asked him if I could help him, he muttered something, I said "Pardon?" and he said he was waiting for his wife. He wasn't carrying a purse though.

Gilles is checking with the insurance people tomorrow, since we need a copy of the car insurance to get my DL and registration. He has been so wonderful,he keeps telling me we'll get everything taken care of. He's helping me with what he can do.

I am so sorry you had a terrible horrible rotten no good day!! I hope your bum is feeling better though.... Hopefully your purse will turn up before you have to get all the new SS#, Drivers License etc. I am so glad nobody used your cards.... My bum is turning a pretty shade of purple!!! I'm calling in the morning to take care of all the cards. The police gave me the phone #'s of everyone I need to call. What really kills me the most is we had over $200 of cash sitting in a door near where my purse was and it wasn't touched. We figured they knew they didn't have enough time to grab the money, because they would have to open doors to find it.

I told Gilles when I fell that at least we know that I don't have osteoporosis because I didn't brake anything and then after I went home to see if I left my purse here I told him that we now have asphalt. Hey, Buddy does it sound like I'm trying to keep your positive outlook?

The cookies sound really good, but I'll pass on the milk...it'll make me sick.:(

Thanks so much. And We also would love to meet you! There's a thread going in the meets section, we're trying to get a meet for illuminations during EMH on the 12th. As I said in the post there I would have to get there early so as not to be staring at peoples buns due to being in the W/c. So we could visit before the show. If that doesn't work for you just let me know and we can set up whatever is good for you. We're really flexible, we haven't made many ADRs we're going to fly by the seat of our pants. Except of course on the 10th, that's my B-day and we're having breakfast at Chef Mickeys :yay:

Carol, Woud you believe I read your purse had your camera and your tripod (instead of I-pod)?

And I just thought, did you check any trash cans around the shop or dumpsters? They could have dumped it in there after seeing there was no money. (((hug)))

Yesterday I was typing with tears so I could of wrote tripod.

I looked in the dumpsters, between fabric, under fabric, in shelves, under shelves, in baskets, you name I looked. I was even crawling on the floor to see if they stashed it anywhere. My staff was going to look around last night also, but since I didn't get any calls I don't think they found it.

I dreamt last night that when I went into the store it was there. It's really funny but within the last month a file went missing off my desk and a pattern. I've been joking around that theres a vortex in my office that takes things. The file was our current sale, so all it was was pages of stuff and what they needed to marked down to, the pattern was a belly dance costume(there's not many people that need that) and now my purse.

I'm so proud of you ! Remember, thieves can take money, cameras, I pods or tripods, and they can be replaced. But when they upset you and steal the spirit from your heart, you'll have a hard time replacing that ! Do you know what I mean ???? :D

I know what you mean. Buddy. I'm so thankful that I had my keys in my pant pockets. I almost put them in my purse and instead by habit I put them in my pocket. My keychain has my house keys, car keys and the store keys on them. Also my cell phone was in my pocket. I guess in the big picture it could of been a lot worse.

So Carol, how's the bum? Here's a big  hoping things get better tomorrow. You are handling this very well if I do say so!!

I have stool in my bathroom so I can see in the mirror :secret: I am 4'11" so I can totally sympathize.... My son is about to turn 13 and he is taller than me by a few inches already.

My DD13 is already 5'6"!! The oldest is almost the same. The only one I'm taller than is the 6 year old.Man! Some very petite people in these here parts....We grow 'em big up in Ajax! I'm 6ft....DS4 is 46", and Harry, who just turned 10 is 5'4" (He'll be a giant -- anyone know where I can get some super reinforced concrete furniture to get me through the teenaged years????)

Thank you, Buddy. That hug felt really good right now and I really needed that laugh.

I told Gilles when I fell that at least we know that I don't have osteoporosis because I didn't brake anything and then after I went home to see if I left my purse here I told him that we now have asphalt. Hey, Buddy does it sound like I'm trying to keep your positive outlook?
:sing: Always look on the bright si-ide of life! :sing: (Monty Python's Life of Brian) I hope your attitude helps you to feel better.....

OH, and I got my glasses today. The glasses are very cute, love them, the sunglasses are going to take a while to get used to. I kinda think I look like Harry Carrey or whoever that guy was whose glasses were too big for his face. My best friend says I look like a fashionista....I don't think so. But, they are very trendy, I'll just have to get used to them, being so big and all over my face Don'tcha love getting new glasses??? I need some, but I love my most often worn pair so much, I feel it is unneccessary .....

Ellen - main dishes are going to be poached dressed salmon and Coronation Chicken. Strawberries for dessert of course - this is Wimbledon fortnight! :tennis:I'm definitely going to Mikki's this weekend. Anyone else coming?

I go to one of my big Doctors today to see if my remaing coratid artery is still open enough to avoid surger. Wish me luck! Hugs and :pixie: Deb! I'll be thinking of you!

Ellen, I'm thinking of you today too! And Jasper.... I hope your recovery is going well... and Hey Howdy Hey to everyone else!

Good morning everyone. Wow...over 5 pages to read through!

To Blythe and Carol, here's a  to get you through your times. Blythe, I'm sure Calvin had a wonderful life. Our oldest cat, Samantha, was put down a little over a year ago...we thought it would be easier to have her put down in the house...not only was it more expensive, but emotionally it was horrible (we had her for over 14years!). I miss her to this day. The thing that got me, and the rest of my family, through it was knowing she had such a happy and healthy life, being chosen out of many from the humane society. Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck with that situation...it stinks, but it's life, and focusing on the good times is the best thing to do. :)
Carol, I can't imagine something like that happening! Good luck with all the "riga-ma-roll" (it's an Italian expression!). Things WILL get better! :mickey:
Traci, I hope your body and your meds become more friendly soon. My sister needs a lot of meds as well, and we have had trouble her whole life with insurance companies...nothing new there...ughh. But I'm sure this "pathetic" day will turn into :cloud9: soon!:mickey:
Welcome Ashley! It's great to have you here!

Yesterday was rather uneventful, besides the fact that I went down to Hamden, CT to visit a friend and we went to this sushi place where you pay 16.99 set price, and you get AS MUCH SUSHI/JAPANESE FOOD AS YOU WANT! You get two sheets of paper, one being sushi (maki rolls, sashimi etc...), one being Japanese food (edamame, tempuras, yaki tori, many soups, and dessert). I ate probably more than I had in like 5 days...it was AWESOME! I definitely got my money's worth. After driving back up to MA, I bypassed home, and drove directly to Boston area for my Korean language class, where I learned more Korean expressions. I will be missing the next 2 classes due to me being in Korea (a good excuse I think!).

Wall-E is tonite at midnight...I'll give a review when I get back home tomorrow morning!! No call from the job yet, crossing my fingers that today will be the day...we'll see.

Have a great day everyone! Can we do campfire songs tomorrow nite???! PLEASEEE???!

Morning everyone! Is there any diet coke left in the fridge? I need a jolt of caffeine..

Today has been my day from someplace worse then heck. As if falling down the stairs wasn't enough, somebody went into my office and stole my purse
I'm going to go hide and cry now, if nobody really minds.

Oh Carol! How terrible! Do you want a friend to cry with you? If so I'm there! I'll even bring several containers of your favorite ice cream and two spoons! Big big hugs to you!

So I came across something today in my travels, thought that maybe pogo or Jym could use a couple boxes and whip something up. What do you think?

For dinner maybe tonight? (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2666693400032190626loPrug?vhost=good-times)

:funny: Oh my gosh! that is too funny!

Bet you wish you had Aflac right now, right ? Poison Ivy is covered as an accident.

It is???? I didn't know that.. hmmm... I have 4 months till my Disney trip.. each Aflac accident pays $120... OK! Where's the nearest poison ivy plant???? I know there has to be one here.. EVERY summer camp has poison ivy!

I'm so proud of you ! Remember, thieves can take money, cameras, I pods or tripods, and they can be replaced. But when they upset you and steal the spirit from your heart, you'll have a hard time replacing that ! Do you know what I mean ????

Where where you a couple years ago when my home was burglarized? If you'd been around to say those words to me then I wouldn't have had to go see a professional in order to regain my 'spirit' again.. and would've saved hundreds! It really is a bad feeling when you've been 'violated' like that... knowing someone has been in your home.. gone thru your things.. so Carol - I'm proud of you also! Don't allow the thief to victimize you a second time.

Would that make it a plum bum???

:funny: Screen cleaner please! (good thing it was only water... guess a paper towel will do...)

I also wanted to ask if anyone besides me has entered the year of a million dreams sweepstakes through the mail. I entered myself and Bruce by mail , we both just got YOMD Mickey ears in the mail. :mickey: (of course the YOMD ones are blue but there is no blue eared Mickey smilie) Well, I really mean it, this time I'm going to bed. Another side effect of switching meds is that I can't sleep. Oh yeah, Carter started crawling today, but apparently he only has one speed and that's reverse

Congrats on winning the ears! That is awesome! And how great that Carter is crawling! Don't dress him in anything gray though.. Pogo and Jym might accidently mistake him for a possum! :D

Ellen - main dishes are going to be poached dressed salmon and Coronation Chicken. Strawberries for dessert of course - this is Wimbledon fortnight!

So, what does a well dressed salmon wear these days? Tuxedos? :D

I just wanted to add something...Have I ever said how wonderful Gilles is? Last night I was a little upset that besides having to buy a new wallet and purse, I'll have to use my savings to replace my camera and ipod, he said he'd buy them for me as an early anniversary and birthday present for me.

Today my shoulder is killing me, so this could be an interesting day!! But, hey, I'm not stressed about inventory, now it's because of the purse!!!

How sweet of Gilles! Sounds like you have a wonderful man! Sorry about your shoulder.. did I miss something? When did you hurt it? Or is that from the fall with your plum bum?

Deb, you make me laugh... I work with someone your height, and she calls me "her tall friend" every time she need something off a high shelf... :)

Okay, gotta take myself off to bed now... lots to do tomorrow before my MiL gets here and we get ready to head off to NYC. We're leaving bright and EARLY Friday morning... yawn!! Glad I'm not driving...

Have fun in NYC! I am considered to all my friends as the tall friend. lol.

Morning all!! I hope everyone who wasn't feeling so good yesterday (Carol, Traci) is feeling better today!

So did anyone other than Pogo see my new signature?

Funny story though: I'm sitting at the computer last night trying to come up with what my "job title" should be when Mike walks in and asks what I'm doing.
"coming up with my job title. I want it to be something with animals, a clinic or rescue or something"
"for what"
"for JQU"
"what's that?"
"the thread on the chat board I'm on"
"why do you need a title?"
"well cuz most people have one, Tom (I didn't dare say Pogo or it would have gotten worse) is the head Possumator, etc",
"why is it a possum?"
"I don't know, just the mascot"
He walks away I'm assuming to draft divorce papers. He comes back not a minute later and says
"how about Possum Paws, or I can come up with something better if you give me a little bit." :D

That's why I love this man, doesn't always have to make sense, and most of the time it doesn't!!

Have a wonderful day all, hopefully I'll get my airfare booked today. I'll keep you posted!!

Morning all!! Quick zoop before I get myself packed... a must before the girls get home and start talking and "helping" and generally being two excited, "we're out of school now" crazy little girls!!

Good news - Emma didn't have a fever this morning, and Julia's poison ivy seems to be under control!! Yeah!! Now, if there was just some magic packing elf that could come do it all for me... the only trips I enjoy packing for are Disney and Maine!!

I thought the trip was a surprise. Did you finally tell them??

We told them Sunday night, after Emma's party. They were SO excited... they've got their AG dolls all dressed and their hair is done... too cute...

Just wait untill they're old enough to spell Dooney & Bourke in their letters to Santa.
:scared: :hide:

Well not sure I want to be the nurse either, the animal thing Pogo suggested sounds much better, what do you think?

Funny how that happens... I think your job selection is perfect for you!! I enjoy my job, but I always think of it as the means to be able to do the things I really love to do!!

You know me.... work, work, work !

I go to one of my big Doctors today to see if my remaing coratid artery is still open enough to avoid surger. Wish me luck!

Carol I'm so sorry that happened to you, and I hope your day is much much better today.

Blythe glad both girls are on the mend for your weekend in NYC.

And Jenn, since I'm the only shrimp (and at 5 and half feet before the heels it's not that shrimpy) in my family I'll let you know if I find the concrete store first ok?

Wall E isn't on our weekend plans as we will have my brother and his clan over. (which I'm thrilled about as I really love spending time with them)

Anyone else having fun with school being over now? It's DS's first day of summer vacation and he's thrilled.

:pixie: lots and lots of pixie dust! Oh my, is it just lovely? I'm glad she'll be fine for your trip! I saw you survived packing with the gilrs! LOL! My DD is the same way! Little Miss Fashion Queen! I was informed the morning that she needed to wear a dress today, "because Mommy it's the last day of school!"

I also wanted to wish you a fun trip if I don't get back on here before tonight!

Oh Carol! What a terrible day! I hope your bumm feels better and your shoulder too! I can't believe someone stole your purse!

Lots more hugs!! I hope you have a better day today!

Oh yeah, Carter started crawling today, but apparently he only has one speed and that's reverse ;)
LOL! DS Ryan went in reverse for awhile! It's too funny! Now I'm trying to get him to let go of the 1 finger hold and walk on his own!

Well, we missed graduation  I took both boys to the dr yesterday. She spent a good 45 minutes going over Johnny head to toe to try and figure out what the heck is wrong with him. He's had a fever off and on since last wednesday and it's been consistantly over 104 since Sunday, except for when he has motrin or tylenol in him. His tonsil are enlarged and red but his first strep test came back negative. We're waiting for the results of the second on. She said if he's had a fever this long he has to have an infection somewhere. She's just not sure where. So he's on 10 days of antibotics. We'll see. He told me this morning I need to buy him a wheelchair because he can't walk :( If he isn't getting better tomorrow I think I'll have to take him back again!

Ryan was an easier diagnosis. He has a double ear infection and a very red throat. Oh joy! The dr was very concerned by the way he was acting. He's just not with it. Completely down and out. He perks up when he's got motrin in him and goes downhill fast when it wears off. Poor baby is sleeping on the couch right now. He's on 10 days of antibotics also now!

Did I mention that I'm having a beach party for DD Dorothy's first grade class this afternoon? Don't ya now it's supposed to rain?! I have tomorrow as a rain date but still!

Oh my! This too shall pass! Right? I try to remember there are people in the world who have it sooooo bad and I'm a very lucky women. Then I say a little prayer and go back on about my business.

So, anyone up for a little camp happy hour tomorrow afternoon, I could really use a nice :marg:! I'll buy the 1st round!!!

Nice to meet you, are you really as much fun to pick on as Pogo?
Nice to meet you too! Didn't anyone ever tell you that all Pogo wants if he grows up is to be like me? (even though I am at least 10 years his junior).

Hey, look who the cat drug in!!! I was beginning to think you couldn't take all the ribbing from me!! Are you going to hang out a little longer or was this just a quick zoop again?

Oh, that was a cat who dragged me in? I thought it was a belly dancer who likes to do needle work and basket weaving. :D

Hey, a new member. Welcome. Alex, is it?
What a coincidence, that's what we're going to name our son.
I promise Uncle Alex will be around more often.

So - does anybody think Alex will show up again today?? (btw, we had a little guy born last night named Alex... I told his parents his name was well-picked, and to watch out when he gets older... :D)
I am trying to figure out if I should take this post as a compliment.

Look who's back! You've been missed! Please stick around this time.. and are you EVER gonna tell us what Maria got you for her birthday?

The sushi place is on Rte 10 off exit 60 on the Merritt. Take a right off the exit (pass Acropolis Diner on right)...keep going for like 2 mins and it will be on your left...practically NO parking lot at all...I believe it's called Sushi Palace.

Hockey just never seems to end does it? one of my former soon to be clients (I'm sure that the grammer there is all wrong but have no idea what tense one is supposed to use for that) is developing a family and team version of a skate sharpening machine because there is a demand for such a thing if you can imagine. (it's actually very neat)

Alex I have some of the cork soled ones (nice brown stappy parts with beading in brown) but have yet to give in to the burlap bit as it's kind of casual for work and often to strappy for casual. (I don't do shoes with straps wrapping up my ankles as it defeats the whole point of wearing a heel in the first place)

Hello hello, I have to share the good news!!

My boss walked in this morning and handed me a card with a BONUS in it!! She thanked me for all my hard work and sacrifice in helping make this whole PA/Receptionist thing happen!!

That was really nice of her and very unexpected. She does treat me very well, I'm just so burned out on patient care, it's not even my job that I dislike, it's just it's not what I really want to be doing. I'm burned out on the medical field and primary care is just mind numbing at times.

SO, today is the day I was going to book my airfare for December so now I can and WE WILL BE THERE IN DECEMBER!!! WOO HOO

Just had to share with my JQ family, now does anyone have a question I could buy with my bonus? :D

OK.... how do you lay down and not fall asleep ???

Well Pogo for me that is SOOO easy. Even if my body is totally EXHAUSTED my mind just never seems to shut down. I will lay down and then think of tomorrows list of to - do's. I will go over todays events, I will scrutinize a conversation and think of a million ways I could have made it more productive. I will come up with a new monologue for DS or think of a new poem and I have to get up an write it down so I don't forget it.. or new dance moves for whatever song DD is working on and I will get up an write that down too. And sometimes I will play boggle on my phone just so I don't think too much. Does anyone else have this problem???

I go to one of my big Doctors today to see if my remaing coratid artery is still open enough to avoid surger. Wish me luck!

I wish you the best of luck... hopefully you will not have to have surgery!!

I am going to write down that sushi place ok? DH and DS love sushi and DH is from CT so when we go to visit I will make sure he tries this place....or on our way to MA to visit my family. We used to go to Church in Hamden when we lived in New Haven.... still my favorite church ever!!

AND YES a campfire!! AWESOME... DH has tons of extra firewood tonight and the kids have been begging for a fire!! I have grahm crackers and marshmallows if someone can bring the hershey bars!!

AWWW that is so nice of MIKE... my dh rolls his eyes whenever I start talking about what I am doing on line!!! I love your signature by the way....

Hey I need a Job still!!

Friday night campfire? Of course. Bring your guitar. I think we'll start with 'Michael Row the Boat Ashore' and go from there. Everybody got their song sheets? Everybody know the words to Kum-ba-ya? Everybody know the words to 'It's a Small World'?

Oh goodness I think I used my song sheets to start the fire last time.... accidentally of course!!

I am sending tons of healing :pixie: for your boys!! That stinks that they feel so awful... I always cry when my kids get so weak they can't walk... DS says he feels just sooo woozy and ooozy when he gets sick!! It is looking awful dark here today too.... I hope you have a great party for DD whether it is today or tomorrow!! And I am so like you... when I get stressed MOST times I take a deep breath and say a quick thank you prayer for all I have because I know it is more than a lot of other women.!!

I would have :marg: but I just don't like alcohol... can I have a diet pepsi instead??

Alex I have some of the cork soled ones (nice brown stappy parts with beading in brown) but have yet to give in to the burlap bit as it's kind of casual for work and often to strappy for casual. (I don't do shoes with straps wrapping up my ankles as it defeats the whole point of wearing a heel in the first place)
I am surprised at you, Banker Babe! Who said anything about up the ankle? Nothing up the ankle, just thong style. Anyone who is anyone has a few different styles. :D

It ends? Thursday nights at the pond, baby! Tonight's game is at 6:30. :hockey:

Yep.... Mike is a great guy ! I knew it the minute we met you guys for dinner last October. And you're not so bad yourself ! :D

Good news - Emma didn't have a fever this morning, and Julia's poison ivy seems to be under control!! Yeah!! Now, if there was just some magic packing elf that could come do it all for me... the only trips I enjoy packing for are Disney and Maine!!

Well.... would you rather do it yourself or have Alex, Ken or I come and pack for you ? Oh wait.... you said elf. Nevermind. :D

Nice to meet you too! Didn't anyone ever tell you that all Pogo wants if he grows up is to be like me? (even though I am at least 10 years his junior).

:shake:

He's baaaaaaack ! :D

That's great... my DH is supposedly a JQ'er but doesn't seem to get himself on here very often. But he's met a few of the folks, so he likes all the stories and zoops in once in awhile. This whole JQU thing's got him laughing....

Yeah... he only comes in here to post when he gets a hole in one ! We might not ever hear from him again ! :D

Se what I mean..... think positive..... act positive and BE positive ! :D

Way too much information. What kind of job title can you handle ? :D

I think our spouses will have to stick together in December...mine is only coming bcos he's just so curious about the bunch here, since I'm always referring to something that's going on in here!!! Aint it great that they are all such good sports???:mickey::cloud9:

This year, York Beach only, although we usually go up off of Brunswick on Orrs Island. I also grew up going to Ogunquit and York... I've traveled Shore Rd. SOOO many times!!! I'm looking forward to some lobster at Barnacle Billy's.... :tasty: We'd stay out on Nubble Point in York in a cabana on the rocks overlooking the lighthouse and the sea. :cloud9: They're long gone now, but it's still "home". So, we're spending a long weekend at the Katahdin Inn on York Beach in August... can't wait!!

I absolutely adore York....that little bowling alley and the arcade...so classic!

AND YES a campfire!! AWESOME... DH has tons of extra firewood tonight and the kids have been begging for a fire!! I have grahm crackers and marshmallows if someone can bring the hershey bars!!

They are buy one get one free at Publix this week.......so I'll pick 'em up for our campfire! I really wish I could figure out how to make s'mores on an electric stove....

Carol I hope everything gets sorted out with your purse. Maybe it turned up today?

Well....I'm still  so I'm going home @ 3 today. I can't wait to just collapse in bed. I have to be better as I leave next Friday for vacation.

I'm back!!
first order of business, I guess I need a job too. I prefer to do therapy since I don't get to do much at work (research).
Do we have a mental health/psych clinic? Should it be opsych? What happened to our O anyway??
We can have a clinic for days when you just can't hang in there.
My life is so paradoxical... Why do I feel like I'm drowning b/c I'm out of water?
I had yet another fish tragedy but haven't lost any fish yet. When out of town yesterday we had a bad storm and my return tube (clean water back from the filter) fell out the pond and now I have 2" of water in the pond so I'm trying to make filtered water as fast as I can.
I have a filter (reverse osmosis) and it produces 2 gallons of bad water for every gallon of good water per hour. Ugh! another reason to avoid doing work. If any of you don't know (or for some don't remember) I collect data in the schools and w/ school out I'm supposed to be home writing... guess where all my writing has been???

Pardon me while I catch up. I read most of it but my Evelyn Wood sped reddin class does not help
Here is :pixie: for all... even Calvin :paw: Funny I can remember the cat's name but not all the kids
Deb, sorry you fell off the chair, I was confused. I thought you fell off while waiting on the phone and it was a little tongue and cheek (not saying which cheek :D)
 for all too... Why do I still feel so lost at times?

Yipes!! Remind me not to ask you to do a rain dance anytime soon....

so -- how's the night treating everyone? I'm at work, may be heading home at 11pm. I'll check in if I do go... I hope you're all relaxing at home, having a good evening!!
I love to dance....

I'm glad he's doing better. My grandfather had parkinson's it so hard. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

DS named pluto! He, knock on wood, seem to have remembered today that he's housebroken! Thank god! He had taken to going under the dining room table. Its like a FLOOD!

Thanks again, it is a frustrating disease. Chloe used to love to go under the table, I think she thought we couldn't see it. At least with little ones I can clean it w/ 1 paper towel...

Anyhow..... bring it on.... give me your best shot MsMIN !

Did you find anything smelly at your door yet?
HA...wait until you go to LeCellier and find that I told them we only let you out on weekends and to please give you only plastic utensils... :fresh: try cutting your steak with that!!! :eat:

Well, it's a good thing I kept Emma home and took her to the pediatrician... she has strep!! She's never had it before, so I figured I was making the trip for nothing, but sure enough -- so she's on antibiotics and should be fine for our trip. Oh - and Julia has somehow gotten a mild case (so far) of poison ivy... sigh... why does it always happen right before a trip???

Other than that, it's not been a bad day -- how's everyone else doing? Anything inspiring for dinner??
Pixie Dust for both girls... I hate poison ivy but I'm glad Emma is on the mend...

Thanks everyone for the support of my poor bum...that doens't sound right does it? A special thank you to Ken, I really got a good laugh out of that, which trust me right now I need.
I'm going to go hide and cry now, if nobody really minds.
Just stop by my office and I'll help you process it ... Seriously so sorry to hear... My dd had her wallet stolen about 3 years ago and still misses some of the stuff in it. My bum sympathizes with yours.. it's just getting it's natural color back...

Ellen, I'm thinking of you today too! And Jasper.... I hope your recovery is going well... and Hey Howdy Hey to everyone else!
I know I missed something???

Morning everyone! Is there any diet coke left in the fridge? I need a jolt of caffeine..
What kind of coke do you want? I have diet dr. pepper, coke zero, diet barqs, diet tea...
You do know we call all cold drinks coke down here.. So what kind of coke do you want???
I know you asked about that pie but dang I can't find that question... I think it's pretty creamy great if you want something w/ reduced calories, sugar and fats...

It is???? I didn't know that.. hmmm... I have 4 months till my Disney trip.. each Aflac accident pays $120... OK! Where's the nearest poison ivy plant???? I know there has to be one here.. EVERY summer camp has poison ivy!
I have poison oak does that count?

Ellen, your pie sounds so much like mine... great for a reduced calorie treat... take care

Ok... I want to do the craft today... We are making voodoo dolls :thedolls: I even have great long pins with little possum heads....
any requests for doll... Can you think of anyone you may want to send a little black magic....

Please do your best to find that Poison Ivy for me! I figure once a month for the next 4 months will net me $480 - that's just about my food budget!!!

With as muggy as it is here a midnight swim sounds great! Do we have a lifeguard though? I'm not sure I'll be able to stay awake and want to be sure someone would rescue me if I fell asleep in the pool and sank to the bottom...

AND YES a campfire!! AWESOME... DH has tons of extra firewood tonight and the kids have been begging for a fire!! I have grahm crackers and marshmallows if someone can bring the hershey bars!!

Oh goodness I think I used my song sheets to start the fire last time.... accidentally of course!!
We have lots of spare song sheets, courtesy of DDPI (Drummerboy Discount Printing International). I wouldn't get those too close to the fire though; DDPI uses recycled paper and some of it is left over from the DDFI (Drummerboy Discount Fireworks International) site. Or should I say former site. We seem to have had a little technical difficulty over there.

My Stitch ate my song sheet...:D
See above.

Ken - I REALLY think this thread needs to be sanitized...should we use 100% bleach? Or some Lysol?
What, your blowtorch is broken?

OK....look, no question. :hide2:
One shot fired over the bow in case you missed the post about having questions supplied for you by the JQU Board of Regents (or was that Board of Rejects? I can't remember things like I used to.) Rhonda gets to fill in the first one for you. :thedolls:

My, my..... what a turn around. Glad I'm going to get to see you AND ,Mike in December. :D

Well Mike thinks you all are nuts, and with some of you he's right ;) but he realizes what a great time I'm going to have and how this is such a dream come true!!

Wow. Congratulations!

Thanks, it truly was unexpected and very nice.

So how's the afternoon treating everyone? I'm ready to go home, got somewhat of a headache. I think it's from my Harry Carrey glasses. :waycool: OMG, that's so me!!

How should Iget out of going to a bridal shower? I know it sounds horrible because I love this girl to death and can't wait to go to her wedding but I really don't want to go to the shower. I guess maybe I should just go *sigh* I don't know. I didn't have a bridal shower, seemed somewhat unnecessary to me.

Have a good rest of the afternoon, I'll talk to you all later

Hey! a fellow Islander! My ends looking a little stormy! How about your end?

I'm liking this camp! Smores and Tequila! Your my kind of lady Marilyn!!

Oh and we don't need to save the popicle sticks I have plenty to go around! DD and DS save them and they eat a lot of popicles! Sugar free only, they don't need that kind of sugar!

MsMin, I'd like a strawberry snow cone PLEASE!! Maybe with a little of Marilyn's Tequila!
I could definitely use help in the mess hall! Rice and beans sounds yummy! Would go great with my Mexican Lasagna we had last night!

And yes you can have seconds of the strawberry shortcake! Maybe I should make some more!

What's this about eating road kill? Did it taste like chicken? I went to a place call The Road Kill Cafe when I was in college! But, it was college for some reason I can't remember what I ate...

Traci, you can have all the cake you want! I think I definitely need to go to the grocery store! I won't tell if you glue your fingers! I'm pretty crafty myself!

I trying to teach myself to sew right now! It's going pretty well. Except the 7 year old fashion queen (AKA my DD Dorothy) thinks the neck of her pillowcase dress is too high!

Can we trust him with a knife? I think we should measure the pieces! 1 inch a piece for each serving. We don't need the kids fighting!Of course 2nds and 3rds if you want!

Ok I'm off 2 a pool party in a few with DS, may turn into a rain party the way the sky looks!

The taquila is for the burns you get making the smores. You don't drink it - you rub it on. Keeps the buzzards away. (Oh, to be 50 again).:cloud9:

Oh Carol! How terrible! Do you want a friend to cry with you? If so I'm there! I'll even bring several containers of your favorite ice cream and two spoons! Big big hugs to you!

It is???? I didn't know that.. hmmm... I have 4 months till my Disney trip.. each Aflac accident pays $120... OK! Where's the nearest poison ivy plant???? I know there has to be one here.. EVERY summer camp has poison ivy!
so Carol - I'm proud of you also! Don't allow the thief to victimize you a second time.
How sweet of Gilles! Sounds like you have a wonderful man! Sorry about your shoulder.. did I miss something? When did you hurt it? Or is that from the fall with your plum bum?

Thanks for your kind words, Diane. Idefinately take some ice cream...How about a Dole Whip?

Do you think Pogo will furnish you with some poison Ivy? Maybe he'll bring you a bouquet!!!:D

I'm not going to let it get to me, Diane..That was yesterday. Good news is everything is being replaced, I've been on the phone for about an hour this morning which isn't bad when you're dealing with the gov't. I have my temporary drivers license, my new debit card, my new health card is on its way along with my charge cards, my SIL is going to try and find pictures to replace the ones I lost and my camera wasn't in my purse!!! :D I usually carry a reusable bag(the ones you have to replace plastic), I didn't take it yesterday and today I looked into it while I was on hold and there was my camera!!

The shoulder was hurt along with the plum bum!!

Oh Carol! What a terrible day! I hope your bumm feels better and your shoulder too! I can't believe someone stole your purse!

We'll see. He told me this morning I need to buy him a wheelchair because he can't walk If he isn't getting better tomorrow I think I'll have to take him back again!

So, anyone up for a little camp happy hour tomorrow afternoon, I could really use a nice :marg:! I'll buy the 1st round!!!

Thanks!!! The day went so much better today.

I hope your boys are feeling better!!!

Drinks sound really good at this point!!! Is Pogo and Alex buying?

Oh, that was a cat who dragged me in? I thought it was a belly dancer who likes to do needle work and basket weaving. :D

As long as it was that belly dancer I think you're in good hands!!! :D Is she teaching you to dance? Someday I want to see you shimming!!!!

What did the prawn say to the salmon? I pulled a mussel! :D

:funny:

A trip to WDW for me so I can hold belly dance classes for the JQ gang, since we all know we want to see Pogo, Ken and Alex shimmy for us?

I'm back!!
Just stop by my office and I'll help you process it ... Seriously so sorry to hear... My dd had her wallet stolen about 3 years ago and still misses some of the stuff in it. My bum sympathizes with yours.. it's just getting it's natural color back...
Can you think of anyone you may want to send a little black magic....

My poor bum is getting darker every minute and the bruise is getting bigger. According to Gilles, that is a good thing!! I think I'm a glutton for punishment...even though my shoulder was hurting, I kept lifting heavy stuff so it won't seize up on me.

Can we send the black magic to the person that took my purse? You know the whole karma thing.

I just need to say:

WE HAVE OUR AIRLINE TICKETS FOR DECEMBER!!!!

WOO HOO!! Now it's official!! I couldn't be more excited!! Actually didn't do too bad $595 for both of us. Not as good as I would have liked but not bad either.

Congratulations!!!

Hey you forgot my birthday and Carol's and Dan's didn't you?

That's the most important thing, right?

Did Bret get a hold of the fireworks? Do you know we celebrate up here on the first instead of the fourth? So we can have a couple of parties with fireworks!!!

At this campfire, since I can't sing....unless you want to hear something worse then a screeching cat...can I just play my finger cymbals?

I got great news about the house...I have a tree, bushes in front and a driveway!!! Since I do have my camera, I'll post a picture of the front later!!!

I can't believe since Ken started this thread, it's up to 19 pages already and before the 4th of July no less. :D
Do you think PirateGal and I and fam ought to jam pack our little visit to the world with the Disney Dining Plan? Or just wing it?
My causin wants to eat at Cinderella's royal table, what are the odds that we can/can't do that?
And would we need to dress up for it if/when we do get ressies there?

Is it only Thursday? Wow this has been an exhuasting week! Maybe its 'cuz I already worked a full week of hours - and still have a day to go! Tomorrow the heater gets turned on, and we are supposed to be in the mid 90s until sometime next week. I guess I should go get extra ice for those :marg:! :D

Let me begin this post by saying," I'm OK!":number1:

but, I had an accident today. The first traffic accident I'v ever had - it wasn't my fault. My little Malibu had to be towed and the policeman called an ambulance for me (I was shaking uncontrollably.) It was more of a nerve and low blood sugar thing

The car in front of me threw in on his brakes and I stopped behind him. Then suddenly I was moving toward the car in front of me again. I steered hard to the left to avoid the car, but hit it anyway. Then realized someone had hit me from the back and pushed me into the car in front of me. Luckily there was a policeman manning another traffic accident across the street and heard the whole thing. The guy that hit me is an assistant public defender in my county. He was rubbernecking the accident across the street and didn't even hit the brakes.

I'm going to be sore, but I'm sure I'll be fine.
DH and the girls want me to go to the hopital and get checked out. Do you think it is necessary?
Oh, and my one good coratid artery is OK too.

Holy smokes Deb, I'm so glad you're ok  How scary. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago except the girl that ran into the back of me flicked her cigarette out the window and it came back in and was burning her so she just ran into the back of me at a stoplight, and like you said never hit the brakes. The wonderful part is she didn't have insurance, the car wasn't registered, she didn't own in, etc. Thanks goodness for uninsured motorist coverage.

Well :pixie: to hope that you won't be feeling too sore tomorrow.

What'd everyone have for dinner? Mike just got home so we're going to decide here in a minute. I'll check in later, take care all

Oh yikes Why has there been all this bad luck around here lately? But, I'm glad you're okay and it wasn't your fault. I think you should get it checked out if it's really bothering you...if not just wait it out. You might have just strained some muscles. Again, so glad you're okay.

Oh, Deb, I'm SO sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you're not hurting in the morning. :pixie::pixie: for you. I'd have it checked out, if not at the hospital at least at your dr. tomorrow. (This comes from the woman that refused to go to the doctor after her fall)

At this point I think we need to put out a warning that all JQ'ers cannot leave their computers, it's the only way we won't get hurt or have something go wrong. Has somebody been trying out those Voodoo dolls out on us?

POGO, put those pins down right now!!! If you don't I'll have to dress you up in a bellydance costume.(did I sound like a mom?):fresh:

At least you know where to find him - and I bet he has insurance! :D

I definitely think you should get checked out. If you decide not to go tonight, at least go see your doctor tomorrow! Its worth the piece of mind...

Remember I mentioned I was looking at new phones? DH didn't want to have to spring for them now, so I was going to wait until he was ready.. :( Well, I'm pretty sure he's ready, since he dropped his phone TWICE today, and the screen is shot! The phone actually still works, but you can't see the menu, or the caller ID, or what numbers you punched to dial. Timing is everything, isn't it? :D

Oh, and my one good coratid artery is OK too.

The lawyer in me is hollering GO TO THE DOCTOR. :D The just me is saying the same thing though, without regard to lawsuits. Be sure you don't have any neck damage--it's the kind of thing that might not bother you now but could come back with a vengeance later.

I got back ended by a drunk when I was in my early twenties. He was doing about fifty and didn't see me stopped at the traffic light. I walked out of it, but I think I still have problems from the double concussion I got.

Anybody else keeping up with Last Comic Standing? DW and I were a little disappointed with some of the choices tonight. Hope they do better next week.

Wow, you guys sure can talk a lot. This place is full of hot air.:D

TINKERBELLYBUTTON... that is really cool you won the mickey years YOMD!! I have never entered anything by mail. Congrats to you!!

[That is great Traci! How many enteries did u send in total? Carter is too cute, soon he will be crawling everywhere. Mom says hi too!

Congrats Traci, I've been entering for about 3 or 4 months with nothing yet. I've mailed probably at least 30 postcards. What kind of post card did you send? Or did you mail them a letter? Mine are basic boring and white with nothing on them. Maybe that is the reason, too boring.

The way I entered is I went and bought note cards, you know the lined ones we used in high school? I bought the larger size, 4x6 inches at Staples they are bright colors, different color on each side. On the unlined side I put their address and a postcard stamp and on the lined side I put all the info they want. I think I've sent out maybe 30 cards. 15 for him and 15 for me. Here's the ears, oh and by the way, check out my curtains behind them.(we bought them from a place called mouse surplus)

Ears1 (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/traci_moeller/ears/intercotears.jpg)
Ears2 (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/traci_moeller/ears/intercotears2.jpg)
Ears3 (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm101/traci_moeller/ears/intercotears3.jpg)

zoop.
That means we don't have much time but are just popping in quickly. Someone came up with the word last year I think and it caught on. Does that make it any clearer?

Zooping is what we do when we don't have time to read the previous post, but want to say something anyway. Sort of a swooop by thingy.

It's a combination of zoom and swoop. I started using it a while ago when I only had time to slip in and say hello.

Thanks, that makes sense.

I just wanted to add something...Have I ever said how wonderful Gilles is? Last night I was a little upset that besides having to buy a new wallet and purse, I'll have to use my savings to replace my camera and ipod, he said he'd buy them for me as an early anniversary and birthday present for me.

Aaawww, how sweet.

Traci, I hope your body and your meds become more friendly soon. My sister needs a lot of meds as well, and we have had trouble her whole life with insurance companies...nothing new there...ughh. But I'm sure this "pathetic" day will turn into soon

Thanks Greg! Feeling much better this evening than I was yesterday and this morning.

Wall-E is tonite at midnight...I'll give a review when I get back home tomorrow morning!! No call from the job yet, crossing my fingers that today will be the day...we'll see.

Make sure you fill us Wall-E on how good it is and I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the job for you.
Have a great day everyone! Can we do campfire songs tomorrow nite???! PLEASEEE???!

Screen cleaner please! (good thing it was only water... guess a paper towel will do...)

I'm so glad I could help, your screen was looking a little dirty ;)

Congrats on winning the ears! That is awesome! And how great that Carter is crawling! Don't dress him in anything gray though.. Pogo and Jym might accidently mistake him for a possum!

Too funny!

Morning all!! I hope everyone who wasn't feeling so good yesterday (Carol, Traci) is feeling better today!

I'm much better now thanks.
So did anyone other than Pogo see my new signature?

LOVE IT!
That's why I love this man, doesn't always have to make sense, and most of the time it doesn't!!
Isn't it wonderful to have a guy like that? I bet he and Bruce would get along famously.

Have a wonderful day all, hopefully I'll get my airfare booked today. I'll keep you posted!!

Oh
LOL! DS Ryan went in reverse for awhile! It's too funny! Now I'm trying to get him to let go of the 1 finger hold and walk on his own!

I can't wait for him to be walking, I have a hard time carrying him, he's almost 20 pounds. And since I'm the Gramma, I don't have to put chase to him as he's running around, that's moms job. hehehe .

Oh Well, we missed graduation I took both boys to the dr yesterday.

Here's some more pixie dust for the boys, I hope they feel better real soon. :pixie:

Did I mention that I'm having a beach party for DD Dorothy's first grade class this afternoon? Don't ya now it's supposed to rain?! I have tomorrow as a rain date but still!

Oh my! This too shall pass! Right? I try to remember there are people in the world who have it sooooo bad and I'm a very lucky women. Then I say a little prayer and go back on about my business.

Here's some pixie dust for you too, :pixie: I hope things start looking up for you soon, it sounds like you've had a rough couple of days.
So, anyone up for a little camp happy hour tomorrow afternoon, I could really use a nice.! I'll buy the 1st round!!!

I'll have some milk if you have any.

This year, York Beach only, although we usually go up off of Brunswick on Orrs Island. I also grew up going to Ogunquit and York... I've traveled Shore Rd. SOOO many times!!! I'm looking forward to some lobster at Barnacle Billy's.... We'd stay out on Nubble Point in York in a cabana on the rocks overlooking the lighthouse and the sea. They're long gone now, but it's still "home". So, we're spending a long weekend at the Katahdin Inn on York Beach in August... can't wait!!

Too bad you're not coming up to our neck of the woods this year. Maybe we could do a meet somewhere around here next summer.
Okay -- back to work.... did I get a question in anywhere???

Hello hello, I have to share the good news!!

My boss walked in this morning and handed me a card with a BONUS in it!! She thanked me for all my hard work and sacrifice in helping make this whole PA/Receptionist thing happen!!
:yay: It's always nice to be appreciated.
That was really nice of her and very unexpected. She does treat me very well, I'm just so burned out on patient care, it's not even my job that I dislike, it's just it's not what I really want to be doing. I'm burned out on the medical field and primary care is just mind numbing at times.

I know I missed something???

I did too.

I just need to say:

WE HAVE OUR AIRLINE TICKETS FOR DECEMBER!!!!
That's wonderful, I'm so happy for you!
WOO HOO!! Now it's official!! I couldn't be more excited!! Actually didn't do too bad $595 for both of us. Not as good as I would have liked but not bad either.

Let me begin this post by saying," I'm OK!"
but, I had an accident today.
That's it young lady I'll be right over, it seems that you need a body guard. I think you should get seen by a Dr just in case also. Oh, and my one good coratid artery is OK too.

:yay: That is wonderful news!

Ok Carol, this is for you. As I said, Bruce reads some of this with me, and what he doesn't read I tell him. He was very concerned about your tumble down the stairs as well and he had a question for you........

Wait for it.....

How's your blue moon? :funny:

Could you please stop posting questions in the middle of quotes? :fresh: [Why? :fresh:

So that's your excuse and you're sticking to it?

It's so nice to see everyone sitting around the campfire. Even the singing is tolerable.
At least I can still tell my nights apart. The campfire is tomorrow night. :fresh: Maybe you were just hearing the voices in your head sing.

Beth, I'm going to make my voodoo doll of the person who stole Carol's stuff. Pass me the pins. Did you bring the fabric or should we get it from Carol?

When you're done making it you want to take one end and I'll take the other? :plot: Or maybe we should toss it in the :camp:

Has your doctor appealed the decision? I know it's more work for her/him, but they can appeal on your behalf.

I realized that when I wrote about my meds I forgot to put in a huge detail. The meds that I was on were generic, I was on them for 2 years. The company that makes the brand name of that drug sued the maker of the generic in federal court and won. They (the generic co.) were ordered to halt production of the medicine. Therefore only the name brand is available. They decided that they would only grandfather these meds for people who had been on name brand to begin with. It's frustrating. We've had such a fight with the insurance. Life expectancy is not great with this disease either (there are several types of which I have more than one) my sister died at 40. She had cancer but was undergoing treatment. She was never diagnosed so it made no sense to us when they told us she bled out through her port. Well, I'll stop whining now

All I can say is, there's an upside to everyting, sometimes you just have to stand on your head to find it. ;)

If I keep going like this will my face freeze that way????? :goof: :fresh:

Where's that graceful young woman in my house? We're not young here, just young at heart!!!!

Hey, Pogo, I'm glad I made you laugh. Whoever took my purse is not taking away my sense of humor or anything else from me!!!

Yesterday I received a shipment of 13 boxes that I'm not suppose to receive until after inventory. I had to find a place to store them so they went on top of a shelf stacked three high. These boxes were BIG boxes filled with cushions, batting and stuffing. As I'm climbing on a stool and putting these boxes up, basicly all by myself, I had customers looking at me saying, "You're a strong woman. Remind me not to mess with you." I was laughing saying, "Me strong like ox!!"

No, just out of the bar.

Just a quick zoop for some :pixie: for my Mom. Mom never complains, but just keeps plodding along. Yesterday she uncharacteristically asked my dad to take her to see the doctor. The doctor then asked Dad to take her to the Hospital ER. All I know is that they are taking her infections seriously and she is on IV antibiotics. I have not been able to reach my dad since last night, so I don't know anything else. My mom is strong, but I fear she is running out of steam and any good thoughts you can send her way are appreciated.

ok the whole facebook thing just got odd in a good way. Back in highschool (and just who let it get to the point where I need to almost say back in the day) my best friend and I mostly went to seperate high schools, then I moved away moved back and we still stayed kind of in touch. Then my life moved on (went to work full time, had a personal tragedy to deal with, then of course my ds etc..you know life) and we lost touch. I know it's him that touched base with me on there because he has an unusal last name & of course he knew about the loss of my brother which isn't something most people would know. Pogo & Ellen no matter what else comes of the JQU meet being back in touch with this friend even if it's remotely has made it worth it for me.

Happy Friday Fun Day! I'm sitting here at my cubicle wearing my Walt Disney Shirt and my blinking "Where Dreams Come True" Mouse ears cause today's Friday Fun day theme is.. "Summer Vacation!".. the VP will be grilling STEAKS for us for lunch... we'll be having corn on the cob... baked potato salad.. rolls and COOKIES!!!! Who wants to come and join us?

but, I had an accident today. The first traffic accident I'v ever had - it wasn't my fault. My little Malibu had to be towed and the policeman called an ambulance for me (I was shaking uncontrollably.) It was more of a nerve and low blood sugar thing

I'm going to be sore, but I'm sure I'll be fine.
DH and the girls want me to go to the hopital and get checked out. Do you think it is necessary?
Oh, and my one good coratid artery is OK too.

First - congrats on the good coratid artery. That is awesome to hear.. foremost - GO GET CHECKED OUT! Whiplash takes a day to set in.. ( I speak from experience) and you need to get things documented so you can be repaid, etc in case of lawsuit or any legal action. I do hope you experience NO side effects from this crash at all.. but again.. go to the ER or to the Doct.

What'd everyone have for dinner? Mike just got home so we're going to decide here in a minute. I'll check in later, take care all

I had JTM burgers and macaroni and cheese.
What did you decide on?

At this point I think we need to put out a warning that all JQ'ers cannot leave their computers, it's the only way we won't get hurt or have something go wrong. Has somebody been trying out those Voodoo dolls out on us?

Hmmmm.....someone was talking about voodoo dolls and black magic a few pages ago...maybe some wires got crossed or something?

Well, we're off to NYC bright and early... I doubt I'll get on before we go, so I'll see you guys when we get back on Sunday!!

Looking forward to hearing all about it! Hope you have/had a great time!

Well, I'm no expert in car accidents. I know of a kid who ran into another kid during a soccer game. They didn't think anything was wrong, but they went to the doctor anyways just to be sure. Turns out, the kid had ruptured his spleen and was internally bleeding. He had to go into emergency surgery or he would have died that evening. (He's fine now.)

Clearly, you are not hurt that badly. I think going to the doctor after a car accident is just so that you have it on record that you went to the doctor, especially in case something happens later that can be attributed to the accident. It also can be important for insurance purposes, particularly if you develop a health problem later. I think it's largely a "CYA" thing.

So...how is everybody's Friday, anyways?

And Deb, do you teach with Reading Recovery?

So is anyone else so happy it's Friday!!?? I'm so happy  <----- see me dancing??
You go girl ! :D

I'm a bit sore, but they tell me tomorrow will be my worst day.

I called his insurance adjuster. Ineed a car and need to tell her some other things and she has not gotten back with me yet.

You guess I can get a rental car by 3:00? Any suggestions from a lawyer and resident insurance CEO?
It depends on your insurance policy. Call your agent and ask.

Would you believe I was thinking along those same lines?

Are you going to be asking for any Royalties ??? If so, you'll have to speak with our Lawyer....... right Ken ?? :D

Just a quick zoop. Deb, glad that you are alright.

I'm back from up north. I needed it bad, as now I feel better about things around here. I just need to implement a few things and then we will go from there.

Read any good book lately? I could use some suggestions. Later.

Let me begin this post by saying," I'm OK!":number1:
Here's the ears, oh and by the way, check out my curtains behind them.(we bought them from a place called mouse surplus)

I LOVE the curtains... and the ears are sooo cool. I have looked at Disney Surplus before... thought of getting one of the ALLSTAR resort blankets....

PRAYERS and :pixie: for your mom!! Hugs for you and dad too!! God Bless!!

MMM sounds yummy!! I will bring some fruit cocktail salad!!!

All I can say is, there's an upside to everyting, sometimes you just have to stand on your head to find it. ;)

Just a quick question, what do you guys think of this line? I made it up last night and I'm thinking of making it my new motto. Maybe even putting it in my signature.

SOUNDS like a great motto!!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend all....
Pogo embarrassed me talking about my frizzy hair so I'm off to get it cut.....
Can we make it through the weekend without any bad news?????

I will get rid of the Frizz for ya.. no problem. Sit down and put on your cape... now.. a nice shampoo... with a full scalp massage... and a deep conditioning treatment with Karafix... then the trick is... rinse hair with the coolest water you can stand.

My friday started out GREAT!! Everyone was still sleeping at 10:00 am except me and Jaquelynn (DD5). She got dressed in her red sundress and purple shoes and said "do I look pretty today mommy?" Well of course you do.. and your purple shoes are just lovely!!

I realized how big she was getting and how my baby is going to start Kindergarten in August. So since everyone else were sleepyheads I decided to take her out for breakfast. It was lovely just the two of us. Pretty soon I will be missing my morning cuddles while watching play house disney!!
Don't you just love those moments?

Well I hope everyone else is having a super day too!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I am back to report on Wall-E. We arrived 1.5hrs early and there was NOONE in the theatre! We waited, and the previews were kind of dumb. How pathetic is it that they're doing a Madagascar 2...ugggh!
Anyway, cut to the movie. The preview does the movie NO JUSTICE AT ALL! I thought it would be basically a silent film about cleaning up the country...like we all saw on TV (and I saw at the animation studio in DL the 50 times I went!)...WRONG. This movie was UNBELIEVEABLE! Wall-E himself is probably the most loveable Disney/Pixar character ever in my opinion...a total HERO. The movie was HILARIOUS, TEAR-JERKING, and REALLY REALLY SAPPY too! I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! The movie is also WICKED AWESOME in my opinion, because it incorporates a certain classic musical (throughout) which is near and dear to my heart...but you'll have to see it to find out!
Overall, a REALLY good movie...I'm a HUGE Toy Story fan, and this movie blew ALL the other Disney/Pixar films out of the water for me. Mark my words...Wall-E WILL BE the most successful Disney/Pixar fim (yes it will out-do Finding Nemo!)
Rating from greg: A++! :thumbsup:

Ok...now go and see it!!! Please??? :cloud9:

:funny: OK, hold on, let me get my composure. OF course he would lie. God forbid anyone actually own up to the fact that they were at fault. It's so sad. sorry you're going through this, but I do agree you should get checked out by the doctor just to be sure.

So it's only 2:30 here and I'm dying...this day needs to be over!! Pogo off golfing again? Silly boy. My DH is having some of his little friends over tonight to hang out in the garage so I might get some take out and hang out with my girls. Hope you have a good afternoon, I'll talk to you soon

Maybe we should put the dolls down they are kinda dangerous... Can you find some fabric and ribbon and we can make gris gris bags instead??? They are only supposed to be used for good... We could use that....

I have LOTS of fabric, at home and work!!! I also have lots of ribbon and how about some sequined trim. We all know how much Alex loves sequins!!!

Today I remembered something that was in my wallet that I'm really hoping that can be replaced, my tickets to MNSSHP. I just called WDW to talk to them, and they gave me the number ticket information, which was closed. I'm not sure if I should email them or wait to see if they are opened tomorrow and call. I'm reviewing my travel plans for our December trip. (Maybe due to my recent driving fiasco)
How much would it cost to get picked up at Sanford Airport and driving to the world? How far away is the Sanford airport anyway?

I just found the answer, it is about double over MCO ie Quicksilver.

I forgot to tell you all some exciting news...we had our town celebrity in the store today. For those of you that are familiar with the space program...that would be Chris Hatfield(the astronaut) mother. Chris is orginally from Milton, he has a school, street and park named after him. Another celebrity from the town is David James Elliot(for those of you that use to watch JAG..Commander Rabb), which I'm waiting to come into the store so I can help him. :D:secret:;) (He never comes into town, but Chris does. The school named after him signed a banner and had him take to space.)

Then the other kinda good news is the local cable access station has a show called Lifestyles where they cover diferent things in the community(earlier this year our belly dance teacher/studio was featured). Well, they are thinking about having a section this fall about the store and Halloween costumes. I may have to make a few to feature on the show. They don't do anything over the summer, so we'll see what happens. If this happens, I'm going to be on TV!!!!

Did Alex steal the question jar when he left?

Jenn, :pixie: for your family!

We saw WALL-E today. It was very, very good and I did like it A LOT, but it will never beat out Toy Story in my book. I will say that the short before the movie was the best that Pixar has ever done, though.

So any exciting plans for the weekend? God willing, we'll be heading into the City tomorrow to meet up with Blythe and her entourage! :D

Later, :gator: s!

Jenn, :pixie: for your family!!Much appreciated....but the saga continues....

Got home from work at 5:15, we decided to go out and walk the dogs. Euan rode his bike, Brian and Harry each grabbed a dog, and I supervised and carried the poop bags. 10 minutes in any direction from home and Euan fell off his bike. He could still lift his arm etc, so Brian carried the wailing kid home, whilst I dragged the bike, wrangled the dog and carried the poop. We didn't like the way Euan was holding his arm though, and his elbow was beginning to swell. We decided to take him for x-rays. So at 6pm, Euan and I were in triage at the local hospital waiting for treatment.

He needed painkillers and some sedation in order to be x-rayed, so after 3 attempts (utilizing 3 nurses and myself) we were good to go, and the x-ray confirmed that he had indeed broken his elbow. The doctor does not believe he will require surgery, so he has put him in a cast, but we will need to follow up with an Orthopedic Surgeon next week. We leave for California 4 weeks from today.

So thanks all for the good wishes for Mom -- she's home and has the IV meds for the next few days. I would appreciate some  for Euan. He might be a stunt man yet....

I would also appreciate some :pixie: for a dear friend's little girl. She is quite sick and is going through a battery of tests. It is a very trying time for her and her parents. So anything you can spare is terrific.

Do you think Alex brought all this bad luck with him?

I heard on one my favorite shows I was watching this evening...Holmes on Holmes(Jenn and Nat should know who I'm talking about. He goes in and fixes things that contractors totally messed up--and not bad on the eyes at all!!!)--that with the bad comes the good. How true that is!! I never would have thought about it from that perspective. I think a lot of people think like me, if it doesn't hurt too bad why bother, as Pogo said, you're smart. We need someone to keep us in line. Hey did you pick a job yet?

I love those days. I can't believe that My baby girl is all grown up and a mom herself. It's so bittersweet but I couldn't be more proud of her. Every year for her birthday we would go to the movies and out to eat as "big girls" and one year, when she was 9 I took her to MVMCP, just me and her, all dressed up in our holiday finest. Such wonderful memories. Now see what you did? My car broke down on memory lane.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! The movie is also WICKED AWESOME
Ok...now go and see it!!! Please???
Hey Greg, did you like the movie? ;)

We were hit by bad mojo a couple of days ago. Here's what's up...
Rachel went for her 32 week appointment and we found some of the baby's values to be a little concerning. Basically, the amniotic fluid was low, in addition to slightly low weight, and poor flow through the cord. In a effort to closely monitor the situation, Dr Hartline admitted her to Knoxville St Mary's Women's Pavillion (rm 33). She feels fine and the baby isn't in distress but all signs point to a problem on the horizon. The current plan is to do a c-section on Monday if the values don't come up. Either way, we don't expect Rachel to come back home until after she gives birth.

So, anybody want to help me move on Thursday?

Jym, you and Rachel are in my prayers. I hope everything works out for you.

Here is a link to send e-cards, I think this is the hospital where Rachel is. I didn't know if maybe anyone wanted to be able to send her some well wishes.

Hospital e-cards (http://www.ehealthconnection.com/regions/tennessee/content/card_form.asp)

I don't know her last name but I'm going to try to send one anyway.

Thanks, Traci, I'm going to go do that right now.

Jenn, sorry about Euan, hope he heals fine with no surgery. Those full arm casts can be a pain but hopefully he will do fine. :pixie:

Glad to hear that your mom is home, more :pixie: dust for her as well.

Sorry to hear about Euan. I hope he gets better soon!;)

I am going to my baby cousin's 2nd birthday today, and then up to Maine with my aunt, where she'll "hopefully" spoil me rotten :D! I come back from Maine Monday early afternoon, and I will immediately start packing for Korea. But of course I have room for another screening of Wall-E at 7ish with some other friends.

So definitely a busy/fun weekend, leading up to an incredibly crazy Monday. I will check back in then, so I can bid a fond "adieu" to you all before I leave the continent!

Have an amazing weekend everyone! :mickey:

Greg, did you forget something? You don't want Rhonda giving you one of these :nono: do you?

I just got off the phone with Disney and they are replacing the tickets. I'll have to pick them up at the will call window that day, but at least I'll have them!!! The poor CM was having trouble with the system in figuring out what to do. She was going to recredit my charge card and have me reorder them, but I don't have a card until my new one comes in. I told her I didn't know when my new charge card was going to arrive and I didn't want to risk the chance of the party being sold out. It's all good, right?

Holy smokes people you go to bed a little early and everything goes crazy in here!

Morning all!! How's the day going so far? I'm not sure what to do today, I could run a lot of errands or just sit on my butt and do nothing, hmmmm...choices.

Euan rode his bike, Brian and Harry each grabbed a dog, and I supervised and carried the poop bags. 10 minutes in any direction from home and Euan fell off his bike.
Lots of :pixie: for Mr. Euan, poor baby. My best friends little girl fell off the counter last year on to her arm that was held out straight, broke the ball of the elbow right off. She actually needed surgery and the whole nine yards, scary. to you and him for a speedy recovery!!

The funny thing is, if they took my purse because they thought I had money, I only had about $15 at the most. They must of been really bummed because they couldn't use the cards and there was no money...serves them right, don't you think? As far as the ipod...they got a lot of strange music on there!!! I had music from the 70's and 80's, a little bit of newer stuff, some Disney music and a heck of a lot of belly dance music!!!

Quote from the Toronto Times Union:

Two people were arrested on Friday morning in the vicinity of Queens-way and Union dressed in middle eastern garb and doing funny dance moves. They were arrested and found in possession of three milliliters of an unknown white powdery substance, assumed to be cocaine. They also had an ipod loaded with music from the seventies, eighties, Mickey Mouse tunes and music from the middle east. Wow! Some serious bad karma going on here!! Anyone have a few extra dump trucks? I think we are needing mega pixie dust!! :D

I think you're doing better than some of the comedians who made it through last night on LCS.

What was up with that? Maybe I have a warped sense of humor, but I didn't think ANY of them were all that good. And the ones that were not too bad didn't even make it! Go figure!

I am back to report on Wall-E.

Wow! what a review! We are going to try to see it this weekend.

He needed painkillers and some sedation in order to be x-rayed, so after 3 attempts (utilizing 3 nurses and myself) we were good to go, and the x-ray confirmed that he had indeed broken his elbow.

Same here, it's WAY too hot today. I just cranked my air conditioner up since it's pretty hot even in the house.

What's for dinner? I always seem to be the one to ask that, I'm a very food based person. I think Mike's mom and sister are making hamburgers and macaroni salad or something. The funny thing is they didn't ask anyone what Mike might want for his birthday dinner, but oh well, I'll eat whatever. Unlike my parents who have called me once a day asking if Mike likes pork chops, what type of dessert, etc. Well like I tell Mike it's all about who matters and who doesn't....it's a long story, I'll tell you sometime :D Take care all

Ok, I'm zooping in to say hi! There is no way I can possible get through all of the posts since Thursday! As it is I'm kinda hiding out to do this! I'm on DH's office computer. Not my Laptop!

The boys are feeling better! Thank god!! Thursday afternoon was the last of the 104 fevers!! Yippeee!!! DD and her classmates had a blast at the beach party we hosted! It was so fun and so easy!! We'll definitely do it again next year!

New minor problem. I feel yucky! My glands are terribly swollen, especially one at the base of my neck on my left shoulder! It's like a golf ball :( Oh well! Life goes on!

So, what's on tap for tonight? No, I'm not talking coors or budweiser! Did we ever get in that campfire song?!

I'd start but believe me you don't want to hear me sing! I don't want to offend anyone! I also don't want to hurt anyones sensitive ears. I know some people don't like it when its gets roody around here!!

Maybe we should just curl up with a nice disney movie! Peter Pan anyone? It's my fav!!!

Nope, a lady was taking a walk and saw it sitting against a vacant building, on her way back home it was still there, which she thought was odd so she picked it up and took it to the police. It was across town from the store.

Now if someone can find me some more staff, I'll be happy. I just got a call from the store, the girl that was on vacation has a burst appendix, so she's off work for an extended period of time, one is on vacation until the sixth, one is having cataract surgery on the 11th(she says she can't work for a week, the next week only 1 day, then 2 days after 3 weeks and after a month can work he normal schedule) then the assistant is taking 2 weeks off starting the 16th. I think I need to put a help wanted sign up. Anyone want a job and can sew?

I think she had a good time...at least, I did...once I finally got there!

I had massive train problems today. Usually it takes me about 45 minutes to get to Times Square. Today, it took 90 minutes!

I got a new mp3 player today, but not an ipod (gasp, I know). I got a Sansa SanDisk Fuze 8GB. It can do photos, videos, songs, and FM radio. Also, it can take the HDSD cards so you can add like 12GB on a SD card and you have 20GB of storage! I'm trying to figure out how to load it up now with music.

Well, I like it so far! I'm trying to load up music onto it. The problem is, none of my CDs have been downloaded onto my computer, so it's taking a LONG time because I have to put the files on the computer first. (The music from my ipod is no longer on my computer )

I have an ipod mini and it is no longer holding a charge well. The mini is not made anymore; Apple replaced the mini with the nano a few years ago (about a month after I got my mini LOL).

ipods are good, but they tend to be more expensive than what you get with other brands for the same price. For example, the 4GB nano is about $150. My 8GB mp3 player is $130.

I'm no expert on these things (is anybody?) but I just went to Best Buy, newegg, cnet, and Circuit City online and just did a search for reviews of mp3 players and used that information to help me choose one. I didn't really want an ipod because you basically HAVE to use itunes to put music on it; with other mp3 players you can usually drag and drop files.

Hope this helps.

So what is everyone planning for this Sunday? I want to go buy a couple of CDs that I have music to on my computer but not the rights to transfer to an mp3 player. Fun, right?

It's so quiet in here at night without Blythe and Jym :( I miss them both.

How is everyone this morning? I'm pretty good. We went to Mike's Mom's house last night for Birthday dinner. It was nice, that's about it. Mike's sister and I don't have a real love for one another, but we seem to get along ok, for the family sake I guess. She has a dog though that is absolutely out of control that she always brings to the house. Now, we bring our dogs too so I understand fair is fair but my dogs don't destroy grandma's house and tourture other little dogs, but oh well, last night went pretty good considering. Tonight we're up to my parent's house for more falala.

So Mike springs on me last night that he might have a business trip/meeting the week we're going to Mousefest  Well I guess I don't really care since I'm going anyways, but he waits until I've just bought our airline tickets to "remember" that he might have somewhere else to be. We're going to find out today for sure so we'll see.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. to all!

We were hit by bad mojo a couple of days ago. Here's what's up...
 for you and Rachel and Alex, Jym. I wish I were closer and I would help you move....Well I'd sit there and entertain you anyway! Would that help?

I am so glad Rachel is where she needs to be. I don't know what the numbers mean, but I am confident that the doctor is planning what is best for you all. :pixie:
My niece was born at 28 weeks gestation and is now 13. They catch up quickly!

The current plan is to do a c-section on Monday if the values don't come up. Either way, we don't expect Rachel to come back home until after she gives birth.

Sending prayers and :pixie: for all. I'm so glad she is getting near that 33rd week. We will all be thinking about you!

Nope, a lady was taking a walk and saw it sitting against a vacant building, on her way back home it was still there, which she thought was odd so she picked it up and took it to the police. It was across town from the store.

Now if someone can find me some more staff, I'll be happy. Anyone want a job and can sew?
I can sew but can you see me trying to help ppl?? And how does that fabric make you feel??
So glad they found your purse sending sanitizers right away...

I do have the visions but I see Deb had the same thoughts... :trio:

Hmmmmm.... who just joined us from the Bayou ?????

Nope..... I vote to shut down this big bad voodoo thread and start another !
OK.... let's see the doo ! When are you posting the pic's ????
I spoke with Jym this morning and he said everything is good right now and this is a precautionary measure. He said Rachel is feeling fine and enjoying the life of leisure. He promised to call me in case of any changes as he might not be available to post much in the next couple of days.

:yay: somebody joined from the bayou???
wait... I don't see them... oh
no pictures .... not today... I save my picture face for WDW...

Quote from the Toronto Times Union:

Quote:
Two people were arrested on Friday morning in the vicinity of Queens-way and Union dressed in middle eastern garb and doing funny dance moves. They were arrested and found in possession of three milliliters of an unknown white powdery substance, assumed to be cocaine. They also had an ipod loaded with music from the seventies, eighties, Mickey Mouse tunes and music from the middle east. Anyone with any knowledge of these people should contact the authorities immediately.

What do you think Carol ????

I was wondering.... could the powdery substance be pixie dust?
that's what I was thinking....

What paper is the Toronto Times Union? I've heard of the Star and Sun.

I think Ken scared away the bad karma. I got a call this afternoon from the local Police dept. SOMEONE FOUND MY PURSE!!!!! The only thing that was missing was the ipod and my cash. I think I could of kissed the man!!! Boy, have I learned my lesson, never again am I leaving the office door unlocked.

WOO HOO!! Excellent news!! Good karma bus pulling up. Glad to hear it.

So, I don't feel good today Anyone have any chicken soup? All of my joints and muscles are aching, I don't know why. It's not like I do anything more than just work and come home and clean the house, yesterday was no different. Hope you all are having a better day. I'm going to go rest, we're headed to Mike's Mom's house tonight for birthday falala. to all!
hope you feel better today...

Yay! That is great news!
I think she had a good time...at least, I did...once I finally got there!
So, how was everybody else's Saturdays?
fine thank you ;) So how many gigs of Disney music do you have???

I am totally exhausted. I worked until almost midnight last night... and then this morning mom was working the morning shift and at 8 am called me and said "Tabitha never showed up I have 30 people in the restaurant and I am alone... come in now please and help me" So I jump up and go to work ... next shift comes in 15 minutes late!! Then tonight was Karaoke with the kids and we just got home..... plus I am just feeling blah today.
I did read everyones posts but since I am just so tired can I just wish everyone a happy healthy Sunday?
Hope you get some much deserved rest...

:yay: Good news here... my son wants to go to WDW in Dec. so DD26 will join him. They are scratching the Mini and Mickey trip in Sept. Yes we have to leave Rachel home but
I get to choose the dates in Dec!!!

Wow, Bethany, what price differences!! Things are usually more expensive up here, but at Staples the 4GB Nano is $140, the 8GB Nano is $190 where the Sandisk Sansa e280 8GB is $180. I'm looking at getting the 80 GB iPod classic for $240.

My plans today are to go to our year end bellydance party where we get to view our recital DVD. We need to bring a couple of salads and a bottle of wine. Since I have tomorrow off, I'm hoping we can replace my iPod and get Gilles to take me shopping now that we don't have to replace all my wallet stuff.

I can sew but can you see me trying to help ppl?? And how does that fabric make you feel??

Maybe I should have you helping...maybe people need to have those questions asked, especially when they come in with those measurements they don't take because it's a standard window. I could see it now, "How does that standard window feel about this fabric? Do you think it'll be happy with this?" :funny:

Jenn and Nat, if you're around, do you get tomorrow off?

Anyone want a job and can sew?
I totally need a second job and can sew up a storm (made my own clothes from the age of 12 through high school graduation and then some afterwards as well). Can I get a flexplace work arrangement with you?

My dd said he talked to one of her classmates and he is working on Toy Story 3... She can't wait to see his name in the credits.... another guy, Marty Sixkiller works w/ Dreamworks, he graduated a few semesters before her. It's exciting to see kids meet their goals...
That's so cool. I always watch the credits even though I don't know anyone who worked on a movie. And on Pixar films, I love seeing the ist of production babies and production pets! I not so secretly harbor the dream of seeing my creative DS' name up there one day.

Ellen, how was your visit with Blythe and the girls?
It was great but too short! Blythe is wonderful and it was great to get to talk with the girls. They're soooooo cute! It was good seeing Bethany as well (as always). We got caught in a deluge on the way home! It was crazy! When we finally managed to get on the Staten Island Ferry to start our journey back home, I looked down and saw that I dripped a little puddle on the floor.

Rhonda, here's some project :pixie: I've made peace with my project and now call it "the gift that keeps on giving."

So are we going to have a virtual baby shower for lil' Alex? (Can we make Jym wear the silly hat made out of ribbons? I don't think they'll allow Rachel to wear it in the hospital.)

Okay, does anyone else ever have a problem with a co-worker? Seriously I'm at home today and get a phone call from her. She goes off and is yelling and screaming saying that I've been telling people that she wants my job. Huh, I wouldn't think anyone would want my job since it's been downgraded so much. I should have kept the voice mail because it was so very nasty. Why do I get so much grief from these people?

But on another note, I sent in another resume. Hopefully I can get out of this situation ASAP.

I used to deal with that all the time, that's why I left my last job. Too many cat fights. I really can't stand sometimes when there's a bunch of women working together, they can be so ridiculous and petty. Drives me up a wall. Sorry things have been so terrible for you Mary

He is handsome... congrats and Happy Birthday to Alex.. :secret: I think he's got your legs...

Yay!!! :mickey: You know which dates to include, right?????

No not really. what are the dates... I noticed they vary. I haven't booked it yet...

That's so cool. I always watch the credits even though I don't know anyone who worked on a movie. And on Pixar films, I love seeing the ist of production babies and production pets! I not so secretly harbor the dream of seeing my creative DS' name up there one day.

I would love to see Ben's name up there. I wished Christin had wanted to go that way but she didn't :( She prefers her web design.
I have lots of info for him. You know we have that animation festival down here in April. they have competitions for kids and some of the judges include Disney ppl. Maybe when we get together in Dec. Christin can fill him in...
I know her latest friend that was hired is named Brad but I don't know his last name. Marty said that he actually offered to work for free to get on w/ dreamworks... hey it worked for him..

Everybody sing with me:

:party:Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday Little Alex.
Happy Birthday to you
.... and many more!
:sing:

Okay, does anyone else ever have a problem with a co-worker? Seriously I'm at home today and get a phone call from her. She goes off and is yelling and screaming saying that I've been telling people that she wants my job. Huh, I wouldn't think anyone would want my job since it's been downgraded so much. I should have kept the voice mail because it was so very nasty. Why do I get so much grief from these people?
.
Send her down, we have therapy for that! :thedolls:

Come on..... I want to see the new doo !

So, what are you dates ????
I have to call DVC tomorrow to get some dates. I will let you know...

Sad news, I guess most of you saw that Bret's dad passed. :( He has had a tough weekend. Angel and I will do something, if anyone wants any details or info just let me know...

So what days should I go in Dec. ???

CONGRATS AGAIN!!

We had tons of fun tonight!! Saw lots of talented bands... Michelle Marie made it through to the Semi Finals ... they will be in August....

Tomorrow starts the busy summer schedule.... Michelle has 2 weeks of camp (3 hrs a day)followed by a production of Sleeping Beauty... then there are 2 more contests she is in the weekend of July 12..... then the 14th starts Annie camp... .. Christopher starts his intensive theater program... 2 weeks (8am - 5 pm) with 6 performances...they are doing a musical call SIDE SHOW....Then Jaquelynn does one week of LETS PLAY PRINCESS camp.... The first weekend of August my sons show opens and my daughters have a pageant that same weekend! So DH (he is an Alex too) will go to Christophers opening show while mom and I are with the girls in Connecticut. My calander is full and I am sooo tired thinking about all driving too and from lol. At least I know they are going to have fun and wont be playing video games. I know my son will be exhausted when his camp starts.... Now the only question is... HOW AM I GOING TO PAY FOR GAS??? Another good thing is that this summer is going to FLY by and soon we will be on a plane to DISNEY!!!

Well I am going to bed... gotta get up early... I am wishing everyone a healthy, happy and productive week :0)

Deb, what are you doing up so early or was it late getting to bed?

I'm up because I couldn't sleep. Work stuff on my mind. Actually one of my bellydancers has volunteered to help out for the month of July, so I might be okay.

I've been waking about 2 or 3 in the morning for a couple of weeks now and not able to go back to sleep, so I get in Intercot and do a little laundry....There is always something to do , isn't there?

There is. I've been trying to get back to sleep but it isn't working. I have a feeling about 7 the construction guys are going to be showing up and having their competition on who can make the most noise. Does anyone have earplugs for me?

Good morning all..... sorry I wasn't around much during the weekend. We had some "surprise" guests at the resort. We got a call at around 4:00 PM Saturday from some friends we haven't seen in two years and they were driving through the area and asked if we were busy. So.... we invited them to dinner and we had a wonderful time.

She's in good spirits and recovering well. Hopefully she'll be better by Thursday cause there are a lot of boxes to move.

:shake:

I've got a feeling that she is going to act like the queen she is and just sit on her thrown and watch you move.

Why are you repeating yourself ??? :D

The official meet is on Friday, 12/12, and Saturday, 12/13. Some people are arriving on 12/06 and some are staying until 12/18.

Congratulations Jym!

Good morning Scott. Don't you hate all the work that is involved with the trip reports ?

C'mon Carol, tell the truth. You have been looking for the opportunity to call me a doll for a long time. :D

Morning all and Happy Monday!! What's so happy about it? I'm exhausted as usual, Mike woke me up last night tending to one of the fish that's dying. Now don't get me wrong I love all god's creatures but not a fish at 3:00 in the morning!! So I'm up and awake and ready for the day :coffee: Hope you all have a great morning, talk to you later

Happy Monday. It is a weird week for us. Tomorrow is Canada's 141st birthday, so I am at work today, but off tomorrow....Brian's company decided to take today as the holiday, so he's home with my little bird with the broken wing (who is quite down I am sad to say....)

Carol -- I'm glad you found some help!

She's doing well.....My mom always got to the point where she simply wrote "EGG SALAD SANDWICH" on the form and hoped for the best. :D Will they prepare Lamb for Rachel?

1. Unless, of course, it's a pants optional hospital.

2. In a couple of weeks, you might want to revise that to 3:30 am.

Who's doing crafts today? I think we're supposed to cut out paper baby clothes, aren't we?
