I have a question about how posts are counted. It appears that if you post multiple times in the same topic, it only adds the first post to your count. Is that the way it is supposed to work?

No, each post counts toward your post total, regardless if they are within the same thread or not. :)

Your post count updates on ALL of your posts, so it will show the same number of posts for each post in a thread. Maybe that is leading to some confusion? Even if I were able to go back to my first post on Intercot, it would say I have 2600+ posts, because that is my current count.
