Hi,
I was wondering what excursions any of you took while in Nassau. We're thinking of just walking around the island but if there's some good excursions out there, any assistance would be appreciated.

We did the tour of the Atlantis. It is an absolute beautiful facility, and you get to see some really neat fish, try your luck with a little gambling in the casino, and after it was over we spent the rest of the day out on the beach at the Atlantis.

While not an excursion offered by Disney, we went to "Pirates of Nassau", a pirate museum, and had a really great time. It's only a few blocks from the dock and the displays were pretty cool...

one of the best things we did was swim with the dolphins. you have to make sure you get the right one. there is one tht you are just waste deep pretty basic but the acual swim one is a once in a lifetime offer. it was amazing. you held onto to the dorsal fin and the dolphin glides you across the lagoon.

One warning...Don't make eye contact with the hair braiding ladies at the port! I did and $125.00 later I had really tight braids and a big headache! LOL

Would a 3 year old boy like this place or is it geared towards adults? I am leaning towards staying on the ship when we dock in Nassau. But this might be something neat to do on our own for a bit.

3 might be a little young, and there is a scary part or two. It's not set up for little kids but intended as a serious attraction. Take a look for yourself on their website... if you use Yahoo and search for 'pirates of nassau', it's the first one to come up. Click the museum link and they have an online tour. (I'd give the link but intercot frowns on posting links, iirc)...
