deep cleaning

has anyone had a dental deep cleaning? does it hurt? The dentist says she has to numb me in order to do it I have never had to have this done

Yes I have had this done. :blush: I had a fear of dentists because of experiences as a child. My mouth was done in 2 sessions, upper one day and lower another. I was numbed up both times. My dentist was aware of my fear and did a good job giving me novacaine. Over all It really didn't hurt. My mouth was a little tender for a few days but not bad enough to take the rx pain meds., OTC pain reliever was just fine. Even with my fears it was not a bad experience. :D I would say go for it!
