Okay, so it's really the 10th, lol.
Jim and I are on a short weekend trip at the World. I was hoping to get out of the house early and maybe hit one of the parks but alas, it was not meant to be.
I worked an 11 1/2 hour day yesterday and then had to come home and do some laundry, start packing, get the youngest (16) to bed and the oldest (20) to do his chores. Jim worked late and didn't get home until midnight so an eary start today was not on the agenda. No problem.
We got to the resort around 3 and our room was ready, 6223. I walked over to the luggage room and my scooter was waiting so I zipped on over to Building 6. Wait. Why isn't building 6 right next to building 7? Oh! There it is, in the back
We find our room, a corner room facing the canal, and we unpack. We have dinner ressies at Olivia's (I've always wanted to eat here) at 7 and we'll be meeting Mikki and Andrew there. We rest up a bit and head out around 6:15 (we have to go get lottery tickets first, lol).
I call Mikki and Andrew when we arrive. They just checked into OKW today and their room is right across from the main lobby building (whose name has escaped me at the moment) so they are there within minutes. We check in and we're seated right away. Mikki, Andrew and I have the Grilled Steak Salad which I highly recommend! It was delicious!! Jim had a chicken breast that came with rice and asparagus. Mikki and Andrew started with crab cakes and Jim and I shared the onion rings. I think our server could have been a bit more attentive, we had to call her over to get a drink refill for me but the food was excellent.
After dinner we went to see Mikki and Andrews one bedroom villa and visited (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2954708500043161108fehooz?vhost=good-times) a bit before headng over to POR to meet up with JerseyMouse and his wife and check out Bob Jackson's (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2459947670043161108pzlXJo?vhost=good-times)show. We had a great time and Bob called me to come up while he played one of the songs and then had me lead the conga line (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2687713080043161108fIIBtw?vhost=good-times)! Me with the bad ankle. It's a tad bit swollen at the moment but by tomorrow I'll be ready to go at Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2412106090043161108kiqeNy?vhost=good-times). :D
