Which month is better - early april or late may for a week trip???

I think it depends on when Easter and Memorial Day fall in relation to the times you are planning to go.

I prefer early April because May is already too hot for us. Easter is April 12, 2009, so first week of April hopefully wouldn't be insanely crowded.

The whole period from Presidents' Day through Easter week is part of the spring break season. Some weeks are busier than others. Things typically get quieter in late April through mid May. Towards the end of May, things begin to get busy again as many school system begin to release for the summer.

Personally, I'd select early to mid-May as a great time to visit Disney World though I have also found the end of May (even Memorial Day weekend) to be manageable.

We have narrowed it down to either the week leading up to Easter or the week of Easter...will this time be busy??

Both of those weeks are likely to be quite busy. Easter week will definitely be very crowded.
