We surprised our 5 year old son Max with a Disney trip last week. We told him that we were going to visit my folks in Florida (they were waiting for us at the airport). He has been wanting to go back to WDW ever since we moved (back) to PA, 3 years ago. So, he had not been back since he was 2 years old. He really had no idea that we were really going there.

We arrived at Orlando International at 11:30pm on Wednesday. He was pretty tired and a bit confused when we told him where we were really going. My folks had made a sign for him and he saw it as we came down the escalator. He really seemed to get it when we told him we would see fireworks (poor kid had never seen fireworks before). He started jumping up and down and being excited then. It was great fun surprising him.

We have done that with our kids also. I love the element of surprise-although shock would be a better description. :jaw::eyes::woohoo:

That sound like so much fun! I wish I could contain myself long enough to do a surprise trip.
