I know you can bring blunt scissors in carryon....Can you bring sewing needles? I have a project going I need to finish....Thought I could wrap it up on the plane...

my guess would be no, but I would check with the security, I'm sure there is probably a web site if you google it that would tell you what you can and can't carry on.

I was just on there web site and it doesn't say anything either way about sewing needles. It does say that you can bring pointed scissors as long as they are shorter than 4 inches, so maybe needles are o.k. Here is a link to there website (I hope it is o.k. to post it)

Sewing/embroidery needles are definitely permitted in your carry-on bag.

Trust me. Have I ever lied to you? :D

Most of the items needed to pursue a Needlepoint project are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage with the exception of circular thread cutters or any cutter with a blade contained inside. These items cannot be taken through a security checkpoint. They must go in your checked baggage.

This was on the site you posted! I just searched the word needles and information came up regarding knitting needles and this was at the bottom!!! Have a relaxing flight!

You know I want to know what you're working on! I haven't flown since this all happened, but it's good to know b/c I also like to do needlework on the plain, now only if I could sew on a long flight on my machine!! LOL. I have some smocking projects I'd like to take when we hopefully next year fly to Ireland for vacation.
