Can somebody please explain what DDE is? How much does it cost? How does it work? Thanks:mickey:

Most of the stuff you need to know can be found here from info central:

We had a DDE card for several years and it used to be WELL worth it. BUT, with the implementation of the automatic 18% gratuity, to me it has lost some of it's 'value'. We normally tip, but if the service is bad or the meal mediocre, we will not tip as much.

The free Valet Parking is definitely a bonus, but be careful, we utilized it at CR for Chef Mickeys and when I went over the room bill the valet fee was on it - I called and they reversed the charges, but still watch for it.

This was our senario before the DDE mandatory 18% gratuity:
a) Enjoy dinner & drinks, get 20% discount by presenting the DDE card, leave the 20% savings as a tip.
This is our experience after the mandatory 18% gratuity:
b) Enjoy dinner & drinks, get 20% discount by presenting the DDE card, due to the fact that they already included the 18% gratuity - we leave with the extra 2% in our pockets (unless the service was exceptional and we leave more than the status quo).

Summary: For us it has become even a better value as a result of the mandatory 18% tip, but for the servers - many have somehow lost their incentive to earn better tips - Sadly. :(
