If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would Now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1000.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

If you had purchased United Airlines, you would have nothing left.

But, if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank All the beer, then turned in the cans for recycling, you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advise is to drink Heavily and recycle.

This is called the 401-Keg Plan.

:D Good one, especially since my dh used to work for that stupid Nortel. We only know one person who still works for them, everyone else has been laid off.

Drink up mates:beer:

I think most of the Outer Banks has been on this program for years. We call it

a drinking village with a fishing problem :D

only problem for us is that we dont drink beer (when we do drink beer) out of cans. Now if they paid for water bottles - Id be a mogul!

Not only that... but in our college town the kids are getting smart (is that really the right word?). They get the keg, drink the beer and instead of taking the keg back and getting their deposit, they turn it in at the metal recyclers for more money than the keg deposit, which is equal to more beer for the next time!

That sounds vaguely like one of the options I took part in while in college. I want to say it was coupled with the meal plan.
