Hi everyone,

I'm going to WDW in May and we're celebrating my BF's birthday. I'd like to order a cake for him, but we're not staying on property can I have it delivered somewhere else or pick it up? How do I order it and how much notice do they need?

TIA!!

If you are eating at GF they have a bakery there that makes great cakes...We ordered one for my DD birthday...I dont know the number but if you call 1-407-WDW-DINE they will have it...Also if you eat somewhere else, they will give you the number to any bakery...

I'm assuming GF is Grand Floridian? If it is, sadly no, we wont be eating there.

Call the resort you're staying at and ask them about ordering a cake and having it sent to the restaurant you're eating at or the resort you're staying.

I plan on doing a cake for DS's 1st birthday at Garden Grill on our upcoming trip and found this in info central here on Intercot:

Make arrangements for a birthday cake. 6" cakes are $12.50 and you do not need to pre-order. Just ask the server when you arrive at the restaurant.

Pre-Ordered Cakes;
8" Cakes - $25.00
10" - Cakes $40.00
1/4 Sheet Cake - $55.00
1/2 Sheet Cake - $80.00
Whole Sheet Cake - $120.00

All Cakes are either Chocolate or Vanilla and come with personalization. If you want to add a character there is an additional $30.00 charge. Cakes should be ordered, other than the 6" cake, 24-48 hours in advance by calling (407) 824-2165.

We had cake for our DD as we ate at Cinderella's Castle. You can add the cake to any of your ADRs.

There were so yummy looking cakes at the Boardwalk Barkery on the Boardwalk. You maybe able to call them and pick one up there.

Personally if it's just two of you, I'd make a mention of it at a table service place and ask them to put a candle in one of the desserts instead of the 30 odd dollars for the premade cakes which are kinda big, and frankly not that yummy. (the bakery ones are better but as your staying offsite might be tougher.)

France in Epoct if you want even more affordable options has a lovely selection of pastry items and one could always bring ones own candle to decorate it with.
