We are going to be eating there for our 10th Anniversary on July 4th. The menu looks good but we have never been there before. I'd love to here reviews.

TIA!!

We just got back and have eaten at Portobellos many times on previous trips. It was one of our favorites. Yes - was.
We were very dissappointed to discover that it has changed ownership and is now a Wolfgang Puck restaurant though still under the Portobello name. The waiter gave us some spiel about it just changing chefs, but it was more than that. The atmosphere was very different and the food, while still okay, was not nearly as great as it had been in the past. And the prices had gone through the roof!! The average pasta entree was $30.00. Yikes!!
Needless, to say we left very disappointed and will not ever return.:(

We ate at the Portobello a few years ago. The food was delicious but the service was horrific. We had reservations but they made us wait over an hour past our scheduled time. They then moved a table for us right in front of the kitchen door. It was very noisy and uncomfortable, but the food was good. That was about 2 years ago now. Let us know how you make out.

:mickey:I would be interested in knowing when it changed hands. We were there last October and had a wonderful meal. We are going again (leaving 4/27:woohoo:) and though we have our ADRs already made for this trip, we were thinking about going there during our Oct. trip, so if you decide to go let us know what you think. Have a great trip and Happy 10th Anniversary:party:!
