Cast: DH and myself
Dates: 4/3/08 to 4/7/08
****First trip without the kids!!!****
Arrived at MCO at 8:15p and since we had reserved ME..we headed straight for the ME check in. We only waited 10 to 15 minutes before leaving to Pop Century and it took approx 30 to 35 minutes to get there.
Checked in at Pop Century and got our Anniversary Buttons (very cute with Mickey and Minnie on it!). We stayed in the 90's bldg room 5251. The resort was great..check in quick and the castmembers were all very nice.
One tip: Read the posts listed here by anyone who has stayed at Pop...if we had followed the map to our room that was given of Pop it would've been a LONG walk....but, since I read the posts here often and had read that taking the parking lot to the 90's bldg was quicker...the walk wasn't bad at all!
We arrived at our room which was nice and clean..they had put balloons with an anniversary card from Mickey and Minnie on the bed (which was very nice and thoughtful). There was a hairdryer (for those who have asked if Pop has them), an iron w/ board, and Disney soaps and shampoo/conditioner.
We freshened up and walked back across the parking lot to the waiting area for the buses and headed for Downtown Disney.
We ate at The Rainforest Cafe which was good. The shops were closed by the time we got done with dinner as they closed at 11pm so we headed back to Pop to get sleep for the next day.
When we got back our luggage was in the room via ME. That was so nice not to have to wait to retrieve our luggage at the airport and worry about it! What a nice perk!!!
Day 2 at Epcot to follow :mickey:
