:pirate:Okay...I've been staying up late at night and I've been hovering over my computer for the past three weeks! You ask why? Well...I think that The Disney Co. could really benefit by creating a new restuaraunt/show-":skull:Pirates of the Caribbean Dining Experience:skull:"! They could strip a small portion of, what was once, Discovery Island( in Bay Lake), and build a new food facility. They could base the architecture from the pirate's port Tortuga or Port Royal. Heres the best part...you are escorted to the island by a Pirate Ship! (Redesign the body of a regular transit boat) After you are settled in, your tables face the North-Eastern shore of Bay Lake, Small-ER scale pirate ships then can battle and board each other, of course with blanks, it would be just like the real thing!!!:pirate:

I know! I've done sooo much research on this! I've been on and off of Google Earth looking at Discovery Island measuring and planning. Not that I'm of any importance though...just another imagination! But I think that, seeing how popular the movies were, the program:mickey3: would flourish! Anyways...thanks for replying!

Huh ... this sounds exactly like the Pirates experience that Jim Hill described over at his site a few weeks back ...

Sorry. Disney apparently already had this idea and scrapped it. At least according to Jim, anyway.

Just do a Google search for Jim Hill. You'll find his web site. Hill puts out a lot of "news" about Walt Disney World. Some of it is accurate, but much of it is wildly inaccurate. Decide for yourself.

A little OT and I know it has been said before but, I wish they would do some kind of character meal with POTC characters or something geared more to boys.

I know my 10 and 8 year old sons would love it!!

I think a POTC Meal would be very cool.

My only concern would be that Disney would be or already is going to wear out the POTC theme/ideas/character/etc. by overdoing/over-using a good thing.

I love that idea- that would be the ultimate dining experience especially if they used your idea to used a ship to get to the restaurant. :mickey:

If it were not for idea's and far fetching imaginations there would have never been a Mickey, nor Disney parks!!!!

This is why I continue to come to Intercot ... the idea's from GREAT people!!!

I've seen some other "Disney geared" sites and they are mostly "one sided" places to visit....

We need to keep the idea's, questions and praises coming...it's what Intercot is all about....

Sounds like the show in front of Treasure Island on the Las Vegas Strip.

You could just go to the Pirate Dinner Theater off International Drive.

How about Disney arranging a "Single Man's Dinner" with either Princess Jasmine or The Little Mermaid????

I had a server at Tony's back in February that was telling our table all about the Pirates dinner that was in the works for that empty veranda space in Adventureland. Everyone at our table thought it sounded so cool. He said that the Disney executives did not think it was worth the money to go through with adding one more TS to MK. I can't imagine it not being worth it. I guarantee that it would be packed all day long. Disney doesn't really have any character meals that cater to older boys. My almost 10 year old was in love with the idea and was very let down when the server got to the part about Disney not going through with the plans. I also think this type of character dinner would even cater to adults without children just because of the sense of adventure...and well, having Captain Jack walk by your table sure wouldn't hurt things!;) I hope that Disney will reconsider one day. Wouldn't they rather keep the money on property rather than people going to a pirate dinner on International Drive?:pirate:

We agree!!!! I still remember the Villains Meal at 1900 Park Fair. It was great to see Captain Hook trying to hit on the cute girls at the table next to ours. We had the best character interaction, ever.

Cool idea.

But more importantly, I believe this thread contains a first.

Especially since the traffic on I Drive is usually a nightmare. and not the one before Christmas!

They really should do something for the guys of all ages.

I second that suggestion!

I don't know about others, but I really don't think my boys get into CRT or BBB too much. At least when I jokingly suggested it, I thought shoes were going to come flying at my head. Can you say duck!
