Are there any maps showing where the DLR hotels are in relation to the parks?
Also it may seem like an obvious question but are the parks right next door to each other - in other words can you exit one and walk straight into the other?

And finally roughly how long does it take to drive to Disneyland if yiou were staying in a hotel in Hollywood or Beverly Hills instead?

Here's a link from the Disneyland web page:

http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/map/mapSWF?name=MapOverviewPage

All the hotels are within a 10 minute easy walk from the parks, and yes, you can exit one park and walk over to the other park (it's not right next door, it's more like half a block away next door).

Driving from Hollywood with light traffic should take about an hour. From Beverly Hills about an hour and a half.

Hope this helps.

The best way to "see" it is to do this:

www.maps.live.com

In the "search" box, type in Disneyland.

Use the "hybrid" map. You will see the layout in "real" distances. It's pretty easy to figure out once you find Disneyland. DCA is directly across the esplanade. The green roofs to the left of DCA is the Grand Californian Hotel. The DLH is further to the left...you will see 3 white rectangular buildings, surrounding a pool area. The Paradise Pier hotel is directly left of the Paradise Pier area of DCA (where the water is). You can make out the figure 8 shaped yellow slide on the pool deck there. That hotel is just one building.

Hope this helps! The "birdseye" view is cool too.
