Are the coconut postcards still for sale at the gift shop in the Polynesian?:tikki:

The coconut postcards were still at Boutikki in Dececember 2007 (our last trip). Every time we have stayed at the POLY the coconuts were available.

I saw them at The Poly when I was last in WDW in September (or was it October?) 2007. DH (then my fiance) and I sent them to our families when we stayed at The Poly in September 2006--our families loved receiving them in the mail, especially our nephews :mickey:. The front desk helped us get them in the mail.

Not sure about the Poly, but I just saw some last week in one of the shops in Adventureland. I think it was the shop nearest the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse that I saw them in.

They still have them at the Poly or you can get them in MK at PoC or Adventureland

When DH and I saw those coconut postcards at the Poly in December, we knew we had to send one to my parents.

To say the least, my mom was a little bewildered when she saw a bag with an unknown "something" inside it hanging on the mailbox. My parents got a big kick out of it.

Also, we only paid $3.95 for shipping, but saw that the actual postage price was around $6 or $7. Good deal.

I think the coconut was $12.95, or maybe $14.95 (I just can't remember exactly). Then they added $3.95 for postage, but like I said, when I saw the actual postage on it at my parents' house, it was closer to $7 to ship, so we saved $3 by letting them ship it for us.

You buy the coconut at the Boutiki, write a small message on it with a Sharpie, then take it and your receipt to the concierge desk to have them send it out for you.

the coconuts are $14.95 and shipping is $4 so with tax it's just under $20 if you send it from Disney. As the above poster said if you purchase the nut and take it with you to mail later you'll end up paying more to ship it yourself, so let them ship it for you.

Cool! I remember receiving one from Hawaii when I was young. No netting or bag in those days, just a brief message, address and stamps stapled onto the coconut shell!

I'll have to think about sending one on my next WDW visit!

OMG!!!

We stayed there 1 week ago and I NEVER saw them. I was at all the shops there almost nightly! BUMMER!!!!

When we were there they had a big basket full of them next to the register near the kids clothes section of the store. I don't remember if they had them next to the other register. They also had them displayed behind the register.
