Mar. 21, 1865 – Composer Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany. His work “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” would be used in Disney’s 1940 “Fantasia.”
Mar. 21, 1927 – Disney’s Alice Comedy “Alice in the Alps” was released.
Mar. 21, 1936 – “Mika Mis,” the first official Disney magazine to be published in Serbia, made its debut. It was launched Aleksandar J. Ivkovic.
Mar. 21, 1956 – The Disney TV show aired “The Goofy Sports Story.”
Mar. 21, 1956 – Walt Disney Productions was awarded an Oscar for “Men Against the Artic” (Documentary/Short Subjects) a the 1955 Academy Awards.
Mar. 21, 1962 – Actor Matthew Broderick, the voice of the adult Simba in Disney’s “The Lion King” was born in N.Y.C.
Mar. 21, 1975 – Disneyland’s “Mission to Mars” opened in Tomorrowland replacing “Flight to the Moon”. (Closed Nov. 2,1992)
Mar. 21, 1975 – The Disney film “Escape to Witch Mountain” was released.
Mar. 21, 1994 – TIME Magazine ran an article about Disney’s plans for a $650 million American-history-and-entertainment park, called Disney America.
Mar. 21, 1995 – Disney’s new updated production of its Broadway Show “Beauty and the Beast” debuted at the Shubert Theater in Los Angeles, Ca,
