I'm planning on letting my 2 yr old pick my bracket. It's the ultimate bracket strategy. That shirt is as good as mine.

I'm in but having trouble getting my very smartly picked bracket to sumbit...guess I will have to randomly finish the bracket later ;)

Stupid comment, because I have no idea what this is about:

I usually pick the bracket that has the squiggly ends and the points in the middle. { }

It seems that always happens on the first day and about 3 hours before tipoff of the first game.

Try this evening after all of us who are supposed to be doing work stop filling out their brackets ;)

I know nothing about the teams or basketball, but I signed up and went for it. Anything to make March Madness more bearable. If the DH is going to be watching anyway, I may as well get in the spirit.

Yay! I always love the bracket challenge...even though I never win. :)

Quick question though John. It says we can have 10 entries. Are we allowed all 10 on Intercot? Or are we cut off at a certain number?

You're allowed 10 entries with your ESPN profile in different groups, not 10 entires in 1 group. For instance, I have an Intercot entry, one for my church, one for my former doctoral classmates, and 3 others with various groups of friends, but only 1 entry per group.

Can anyone tell me...

What does PPR mean? And why do most people have 1680 of them and some of us, including myself have 0?

Can anyone tell me...

What does PPR mean? And why do most people have 1680 of them and some of us, including myself have 0?

PPR is possible points remaining. Once you have completely filled out your bracket you begin the tournament with a potential of earning 1680 points if you got every single pick correct. As your picks bust and games are played that possible point total remaining goes down.

If you have 0 PPR that means you haven't completely filled out your bracket yet.

I know both answers, but honestly LSU men's basketball is horrible and women's basketball is awesome. The women's tournament itself isn't very exciting until the sweet 16, since the difference between the top teams and the other teams is pretty big.

I LOVE college basketball! Go Purdue- whoo hoo! Go Big Ten!

This is my absolute favorite time of the year  (except for when I am at WDW ;)).

I just can't seem to get back in to print out my bracket- not all day yesterday- and not now (but we are minutes away from the start of the Madness). I'll try again later, I guess.

Linda, I had trouble with printing out my bracket as well. One of the benefits of working for Comcast is we have TVs everywhere (though I work on Hi-Speed Internet) and I am not going to miss much of the tournament action (except when I have to attend 2 meetings this afternoon :( ).

Every game today except the 9PM Games done and so far only two people still have perfect brackets. That sure didn't take long...

UPDATE - Only one person left now with a perfect record. Going by the ranks that the people who missed only 1 game, 33,765 people have a perfect bracket left.

Well, by pure luck, I'm the one person with the perfect bracket so far. Interestingly enough, the bracket that I used to join a work pool where there is actually some currency involved I picked slightly different and are 14-2 in that one. I also tend to start strong. I've been in pools for going on 15 years now and usually end the first one near the top and tank in the third and fourth rounds.
The Belmont game was the best yesterday. Can you imagine what it would have done for that school to beat Duke first round?

No chance of extending the free T-shirts to six? Just kidding. I'm quite happy today because the Jayhawks won it all! It is just a bit ironic that the year I don't play for money I actually do fairly well (but not quite good enough to beat 129 intercotees). I guess it helps that KU actually won and I pick them every year! I too will have to get a KU championship T-shirt to make up for not winning the Intercot shirt.

Rock Chalk!
