Drinks at Disney

I know you can buy drinks on resort sites but is there a place maybe like at downtown disney you can buy for instance a bottle of rum or a 6 pack?
We are flying in and I'm sure there are liquor laws about transporting liquor from state to state.
So instead of buying super expensive drinks can we just purchase at a store? (sidenote: we aren't renting a car)

Each resort has a small store where you can usually buy drinks and snacks. Probably still going to be a little expensive, but cheaper than buying pre made drinks from the bars.

Someone once posted that they purchased beer at the Hess station across from DD. I think they said it was about 1/2 the price of what Disney was selling it for. I don't know for sure but I think we'll be doing this in the future.

Also...you can take liquor from state to state. You can't carry it on the plane but you can have it checked. If you do this....I recommend wrapping the bottles in bubble wrap and putting them in a cardboard box. Put it in a plastic bag (just in case) and putting towels on each side of the box.

I'm pretty sure you can get wine and beer in the gift shop there.

Definitely can get wine and beer in the Food Court at PC. I don't know about quantities or hard liquor though.

Yup, they keep the "hard stuff" behind the counter at the resort gift shops. Note as well that It is MUCH cheaper to buy beer at the resort gift shop than it is in the food court! :mickey:
