DDP question - I know the answer, just want to confirm

In order to use the DDP, you must purchase at least one days Magic Your Way pass, is this correct?

Looks like we may have a night or two at WDW next month. I have left over days on Park Hoppers from past trips, so I don't necessarily have to buy any.

I'm pretty certain I know the answer, but just wanted to confirm.

Next challenge will be trying to get ADRs for a visit just 4 weeks away.

That is still true.
The only exceptions are DVC members staying on points and now, AP holders.
Everyone else must purchase at minimum, a one day base ticket for everyone in the room.

If you get an AP but are staying on Disney property can you get the DDP?
