ADR's - What is the soonest staying on grounds?

I've heard many people say they made ADR's up to 180 days + 10. What does the plus 10 mean?

The +10 means if you're staying on resort property on day 180 from your check-in day you can make your ADRs for your entire length of stay, up to 10 days, rather than having to call back each day.

I never really thought about it....I just assumed it was always understood that 180 days out from checking in you could make your ressies at that point.....never thought that on day 2 or 3 of your trip you'd be "out longer" than the 180 days.??????????????? very interesting.......
